Intel Iris Xe Graphics G7 80EUs
De Intel Xe Graphics G7 80EUs (Tiger-Lake U GPU met 80 EU's) is een geïntegreerde grafische kaart in de middenklasse Tiger-Lake U CPU's (15 - 28 Watt, bijv. Core i5 11e Gen CPU's). Hij maakt gebruik van de nieuwe Xe-architectuur (Gen12) en zou later in 2020 moeten worden aangekondigd.
De prestaties zijn afhankelijk van de TDP-instellingen van de laptop en de gebruikte koeling. Uit de eerste informatie blijkt dat de chip kan worden geconfigureerd op 15 en 28 Watt TDP standaard (zoals de Ice Lake-U chips) en de prestaties zouden rond een dedicated GeForce MX330 moeten liggen in 3DMark benchmarks. Voor gaming verwachten we iets slechtere prestaties door het ontbreken van dedicated grafisch geheugen en driver ondersteuning. Vergeleken met de oudere Iris Plus G4 in Ice Lake chips, zou de Tiger Lake GPU bijna twee keer zo snel moeten zijn. Benchmarks met verschillende laptops laten zien dat de 80EU versie ongeveer 18% achterloopt op de snellere 96EU versie en op gelijke hoogte staat met de MX330. Vergeleken met AMD iGPU's positioneert de G7 80EU zich rond de Vega 7 en Vega 8 chips (zie onderstaande grafiek voor details).
Daarom is de iGPU nog steeds alleen voor de laagste grafische instellingen en lage resoluties in veeleisende games. Sommige moderne games zoals Days Gone of Cyberpunk draaien niet meer dan 30 fps op minimale instellingen (zie hieronder).
De Tiger Lake SoC's en dus ook de geïntegreerde GPU zijn vervaardigd in het moderne 10nm+ (10nm Superfin) proces (verbeterd 10nm proces) bij Intel en zouden dus een zeer goede efficiëntie moeten bieden.
