NVIDIA T1200 Laptop GPU
De Nvidia T1200 Laptop GPU (of Quadro T1200 voor laptops) is een professionele mobiele grafische kaart die is gebaseerd op de Turing architectuur (TU117 chip). Vergeleken met de GTX 1650 Ti voor consumenten beschikt de Quadro T1000 over minder CUDA cores / shaders (768 versus 896). De Quadro T2000 maakt gebruik van dezelfde TU117 chip, maar beschikt over alle 1024 cores (2x ten opzichte van de T1000) en is dus aanzienlijk sneller. De chip wordt gefabriceerd in 12nm FinFET bij TSMC. De T1200 is geïntroduceerd als opfrissing van de Quadro T1000 samen met de nieuwe Ampere RTX A workstationkaarten zoals de snellere Nvidia RTX A2000.
Hij is verkrijgbaar in verschillende varianten van 35 - 95 Watt (TGP) met verschillende kloksnelheden (en prestaties). De GPU ondersteunt DisplayPort 1.4 en HDMI 2.1 voor externe aansluitingen.
Er is geen Max-Q variant meer (voorheen gebruikt voor de low power varianten) maar elke OEM kan kiezen om Max-Q 3.0 technologieën te implementeren (Dynamic Boost, WhisperMode).
De Turing generatie introduceerde niet alleen raytracing voor de RTX kaarten, maar optimaliseerde ook de architectuur van de cores en caches. Volgens Nvidia bieden de CUDA cores nu een gelijktijdige uitvoering van floating point en integer operaties voor betere prestaties in rekenintensieve workloads van moderne games.
Bovendien werden de caches herwerkt (nieuwe unified memory architectuur met twee keer zoveel cache als in Pascal). Dit leidt tot tot 50% meer instructies per klok en een 40% energiezuiniger gebruik vergeleken met Pascal. In tegenstelling tot de snellere Quadro RTX kaarten, beschikken de T1000 en T2000 niet over raytracing en Tensor cores.
Wanneer geconfigureerd als een langzame 35W variant, is de T1200 ook geschikt voor dunne en lichte laptops.
