Apple M2 Pro 19-Core GPU
De Apple M2 Pro 19-Core-GPU is een geïntegreerde grafische kaart van Apple die alle 19 kernen in deM2 Pro chip .
De grafische kaart heeft geen specifiek grafisch geheugen, maar kan gebruik maken van het snelle LPDDR5-6400 unified memory met een 256-bits bus (tot 200 GBit/s). De GPU klokt van 444 MHz tot 1398 MHz en behield de 1398 MHz in games.
Volgens Apple zouden de prestaties 30% hoger moeten zijn dan de oude 16-core-GPU in de M1 Pro .
De GPU is bedoeld om Apple Metal 2 API te gebruiken en zou nog steeds gebaseerd kunnen zijn op de oudere PowerVR-architecturen (voor het laatst gebruikt in de Apple A10). Nieuw in de MacBook Pro 14 en 16 van 2023 is de ondersteuning voor HDMI 2.1 en 8k-uitvoer.
De Apple M2 Pro wordt vervaardigd in het tweede generatie 5nm-proces bij TSMC. Het stroomverbruik van het GPU-gedeelte in de M2 Pro ligt iets onder de 20 Watt in games (Borderlands 3 gemeten met powermetrics).
