Intel Core i5-1135G7
De Intel Core i5-1135G7 is een energiezuinige quad-core SoC voor laptops en Ultrabooks gebaseerd op de Tiger Lake-U generatie (UP4) die in september 2020 werd geïntroduceerd. Het integreert vier Willow Cove processorkernen (8 threads dankzij HyperThreading). Elke core kan klokken van 2,4 GHz (gegarandeerde basissnelheid) tot 4,2 GHz (1 core boost). Alle cores tegelijk kunnen tot 3,8 GHz klokken. De snellere Core i7 modellen bieden meer Level 3 cache (12 versus 8 MB in de i5) en hogere geklokte cores.
Een andere noviteit is de geïntegreerde Xe grafische kaart op basis van de volledig nieuwe Gen 12-architectuur. Het zou een beduidend hogere prestatie moeten bieden in vergelijking met de oudere Iris Plus G7 (Ice Lake). In de i5-1135G7 gebruikt het 80 van de 96 EU's en klokken tussen 400 - 1300 MHz. De GPU en CPU kunnen samen gebruik maken van de 8 MB L3 cache.
Verder voegen Tiger Lake SoC's PCIe 4 ondersteuning (4 banen), AI hardwareversnelling en de gedeeltelijke integratie van Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4 en Wi-Fi 6 in de chip toe.
De chip wordt geproduceerd in het verbeterde 10nm+ proces (SuperFin genoemd) bij Intel dat vergelijkbaar zou moeten zijn met het 7nm proces bij TSMC (bijv. Ryzen 4000 serie).
Het werkingsbereik van de UP3-serie is gespecificeerd op 12 tot 28 Watt. Daarom is de processor ook geschikt voor dunne en lichte laptops.
