Intel i7-11850H

De Intel Core i7-11800H is een high-end octa core SoC voor gaming laptops en mobiele werkstations. Hij is gebaseerd op de Tiger Lake H45-generatie en zal medio 2021 worden aangekondigd. Hij integreert acht Willow Cove processorkernen (16 threads dankzij HyperThreading). De basiskloksnelheid hangt af van de TDP-instelling en ligt bij 45 Watt op 2,4 GHz. De single core boost snelheid kan oplopen tot 4,6 GHz, alle cores kunnen tot 4,2 GHz. De CPU biedt 24 MB level 3 cache en ondersteunt DDR4-3200 geheugen. Vergeleken met de langzamer geklokte i7-11800H biedt de 11850H professionele beheerfuncties zoals Intel vPro, SIPP of TXT.

Dankzij de nieuwe Tiger Lake architectuur zou de i9-11850H vergelijkbaar of sneller moeten zijn dan de oude Intel Core i9-10875H (Comet Lake-H, 2,3 - 5,1 GHz, 16 MB L3) in single en multi threaded prestaties en vergelijkbaar met de Ryzen 9 5800H (Zen 3, 3,2 - 4,4 GHz, 16 MB L3). De i7 is dus goed geschikt voor zelfs zeer veeleisende taken.

De SoC bevat ook de verbeterde Xe grafische kaart genaamd UHD graphics met alle 32 EU's.

Verder voegen Tiger Lake SoC's PCIe 4-ondersteuning toe (20 lanes in de H45-serie), AI-hardwareversnelling, en de gedeeltelijke integratie van Thunderbolt 4/USB 4 en Wi-Fi 6E in de chip.

De chip wordt geproduceerd in het verbeterde 10nm-proces (genaamd 10nm SuperFin) bij Intel, dat vergelijkbaar zou moeten zijn met het 7nm-proces bij TSMC (bijv. Ryzen 4000-serie). De standaard TDP wordt geschat op 45 W bij 2,4 GHz basissnelheid, bij 35 Watt daalt de basiskloksnelheid naar 2 GHz (cTDP omlaag).
