Intel Core i5-12450H
De Intel Core i5-12450H is een high-end mobiele CPU voor laptops gebaseerd op de Alder Lake architectuur. Hij werd begin 2022 aangekondigd en biedt 4 van de 6 prestatiecores (P-cores, Golden Cove-architectuur) en 4 van de 8 efficiënte cores (E-cores, Gracemont-architectuur), wat leidt tot 8 cores in totaal (octa core CPU). De P-cores ondersteunen Hyper-Threading, wat leidt tot 12 ondersteunde threads in combinatie met de E-cores. De kloksnelheid varieert van 2 tot 4,4 GHz op het prestatiecluster en 1,5 tot 3,3 GHz op het efficiënte cluster. De prestaties van de E-cores zouden vergelijkbaar moeten zijn met oude Skylake cores (vergelijk met de Core i7-6700HQ ). Alle cores kunnen tot 12 MB L3 cache gebruiken. Vergeleken met de 12500H biedt de 12450H minder E-cores, lagere kloksnelheden, een langzamere iGPU en geen vPro ondersteuning.
Prestaties
De gemiddelde 12450H in onze uitgebreide database is een beetje een teleurstelling, zijn multi-thread benchmarkscores komen maar net overeen met die van de Ryzen 7 5700U en de Core i7-10750H beide vrij oude chips vanaf Q2 2023.
Uw prestaties kunnen variëren, afhankelijk van hoe hoog de vermogenslimieten van de CPU zijn en hoe competent de koeloplossing van uw systeem is.
Kenmerken
De geïntegreerde geheugencontroller ondersteunt verschillende geheugentypes tot DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 en LPDDR4x-4267. De Thread Director (in hardware) kan het besturingssysteem ondersteunen om te beslissen welke thread gebruikt moet worden op de presterende of efficiënte cores voor de beste prestaties. Voor AI-taken integreert de CPU ook GNA 3.0 en DL Boost (via AVX2). Quick Sync in versie 8 is hetzelfde als in de Rocket Lake CPU's en ondersteunt MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1 decodering, JPEG, VP8 decodering, VP9, HEVC en AV1 decodering in hardware. De CPU ondersteunt alleen PCIe 4.0 (x8 voor een GPU en twee x4 voor SSD's).
De geïntegreerde grafische adapter is gebaseerd op de Xe-architectuur en biedt 48 van de 96 EU's (Execution Units) die op maximaal 1,2 GHz werken.
De CPU heeft een nominaal basisvermogen van 45 W (95 W PL2), maar de meeste laptops zullen een PL1 van ongeveer 60 Watt gebruiken. De SoC wordt geproduceerd in een 10nm-proces bij Intel, dat bekend staat als Intel 7.
