Qualcomm SD 8cx Gen 3

Het Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 computing platform is een ARM-gebaseerde SoC voor Windows-laptops. Het bevat vier grote ARM Cortex-X1 prestatiekernen (tot 3 GHz) en vier kleinere ARM Cortex-A78 kernen tot 2,4 GHz.

Het computerplatform beschikt ook over een Snapdragon X62 5G-modem met een download tot 10 Gbps en een upload tot 316 Mbps. De geïntegreerde WLAN-modem ondersteunt 6E (2x2) Wi-Fi en het satellietplaatsbepalingssysteem ondersteunt BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS, QZSS en SBAS. De ingebouwde video-engine ondersteunt H.264, H.265 en VP9-decodering bij 4K 120fps.

De prestaties zijn naar verwachting ongeveer 85% sneller voor de CPU en 60% sneller voor de GPU in vergelijking met de vorige generatie (Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2).

De chip wordt geproduceerd in het moderne 5nm-proces bij Samsung (5LPE) en is ontworpen voor ventilatorloze laptops (TDP-bereik 7-9 watt).
