Intel Core i7-14700HX
De Intel Core i7-14700HX is een high-end CPU gebaseerd op de nieuwe Raptor Lake architectuur voor grote en zware notebooks. De CPU werd begin 2024 geïntroduceerd als onderdeel van de Raptor Lake HX refresh. De i7-14700HX is vergelijkbaar met de Core i7-13850HX met iets hoger geklokte CPU-kernen.
De in totaal 28 threads zijn verdeeld in P-cores en E-cores, die we al kennen van Alder Lake. De 13700HX biedt 8 prestatiecores (P-cores) met hyperthreading en 12 efficiëntiecores (E-cores) zonder hyperthreading. In totaal worden er dus 28 threads ondersteund. De P-cores klokken tot 5,5 GHz (single core) en de E-cores tot 3,9 GHz. De geïntegreerde geheugencontroller ondersteunt maximaal DDR5 met 5600 MHz.
Vergeleken met Alder Lake biedt de nieuwe Raptor Lake architectuur verbeterde P-cores (Raptor Cove architectuur met meer cache), meer E-cores (dezelfde Gracemont architectuur) en hogere kloksnelheden dankzij het verbeterde Intel 7 proces. Bovendien ondersteunt Intel nu sneller DDR5-hoofdgeheugen (tot 5600 MHz) in de topmodellen.
De 13700HX is vervaardigd in het oudere 10nm FinFET-proces van Intel (Intel 7-proces) en wordt gespecificeerd met 55 watt basisvermogen en 157 watt turbovermogen.
