AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
De AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is een high-end desktopprocessor uit de Raphael-serie met 8 Zen 4-kernen en SMT (Simultaneous Multithreading), waardoor hij tot 16 threads tegelijk kan verwerken. Na de aankondiging in januari 2023 op de CES in Las Vegas, werd hij in april 2023 gelanceerd. Na de lancering van de twee topmodellen, de AMD Ryzen 9 7900X3D en de AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D, werd het derde model geïntroduceerd, dat aanzienlijk meer gamingprestaties biedt met de 3D V-Cache.
De CPU-kernen hebben een basisklok van 4,2 GHz en kunnen worden opgevoerd tot 5 GHz (single-core turbo). De AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D heeft een CCD met 8 kernen, inclusief de snelle 3D V-Cache. Dit verschilt aanzienlijk van de twee Ryzen 9-modellen, aangezien deze twee CCD's hebben, maar slechts één daarvan kan de 3D V-Cache gebruiken.
De prestaties van de AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D zijn constant goed, hoewel de multi-threaded prestaties een beetje lijden onder de acht native rekenkernen. De echte kracht van de AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D ligt echter in gaming prestaties, waar hij uitblinkt. In tests zien we consistent hoge gamingprestaties, die zelfs die van een Intel Core i9-13900K .
Wat betreft stroomverbruik sluit de AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D aan bij de andere twee modellen met 3D V-Cache, waardoor de 8-core processor extreem energiezuinig is. In cijfers betekent dit dat de AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D een TDP van maximaal 120 watt heeft. De PPT (Package Power Tracking) wordt ook gewaardeerd met maximaal 162 watt. Ter vergelijking, een AMD Ryzen 9 7950X wordt opgegeven met 170 watt (TDP) of 230 watt (PPT).
