AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS
De AMD Ryzen 9 4900HS is een mobiele SoC voor grote laptops gebaseerd op de Renoir-architectuur. De 4900HS integreert alle acht cores op basis van de Zen 2-microarchitectuur. Ze zijn geklokt op 3 (gegarandeerde basisklok) tot 4,3 GHz (Turbo) en ondersteunen SMT / Hyperthreading (16 threads). De chip is vervaardigd in het moderne 7 nm-proces bij TSMC en mede daardoor adverteert AMD 2x hogere prestaties per Watt voor de Renoir-chips
Volgens onze informatie is de Ryzen 9 4900HS slechts iets sneller dan de Ryzen 7 4800HS. De CPU is 100 MHz (basis en boost) hoger geklokt, maar de winst hangt sterk af van de instellingen voor koeling en TDP. Vergeleken met Intel-chips zou het i9-9980HK-topmodel op een gelijkaardig niveau moeten presteren. Dat betekent dat de Ryzen 9 4900HS alle veeleisende taken en games zou moeten aankunnen. In vergelijking met de gelijknamige 45W-versie, de Ryzen 9 4900H, verschilt de 4900HS 100 MHz in boost- en 300 MHz in basiskloksnelheid.
Naast de acht CPU-cores integreert de APU ook een Radeon RX Vega 7 geïntegreerde grafische kaart met hoogstwaarschijnlijk 7 CU's. De dual-channel-geheugencontroller ondersteunt DDR4-3200 en energiezuinig LPDDR4-4266 RAM. Verder is er 8 MB level 3 cache te vinden op de chip. Het TDP van de APU is ingesteld op 35 Watt (standaard). Dat betekent dat de chip bedoeld is voor grote en relatief zware laptops. De Ryzen 7 4900HS is de 35 Watt-versie van de R9 4900H met een 10 Watt lager TDP.
