Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645
De Intel Iris Plus Graphics 645 (GT3e) is een geïntegreerde GPU die voor het eerst werd aangetroffen in de Apple MacBook Pro 13 in het midden van 2019. De kaart is gelijkaardig aan de Iris Plus Graphics 655 in de 28-Watt-CPU's.
De zogenaamde GT3e-versie van de Coffee-Lake-GPU heeft nog altijd 48 Execution Units (EU's), die tot 1150 MHz kunnen bereiken afhankelijk van het model. Naast eDRAM-cache heeft de Iris 645 ook toegang tot het systeemgeheugen (2x 64-bit DDR3L-2133/DDR4-2400) via de processor-interface.
De exacte prestaties van de Iris Plus Graphics 645 hangen af van het CPU-model, aangezien de maximale kloksnelheid en het formaat van de L3-cache wat kunnen variëren. Het systeemgeheugen (DDR3/DDR4) zal de prestaties ook beïnvloeden.
De snelste chips zijn hoog geklokte Core i7-modellen zoals de Core i7-8557U. Afhankelijk van de game presteert de Iris Plus 655 in de buurt van een discrete GeForce 930M of GeForce 940MX en kan hij moderne titels vlot weergeven in lage tot gemiddelde instellingen.
De herwerkte video-engine biedt nu ondersteuning voor hardware-matige decodering van H.265/HEVC-video's. In tegenstelling tot Skylake kan Kaby Lake echter ook H.265/HEVC Main 10 met een 10-bit-kleurdiepte decoderen, evenals Google's VP9-codec. De video-output is mogelijk via DP 1.2/eDP-converter van DisplayPort. De GPU kan tot en met drie schermen tegelijk aansturen.
De Iris Plus Graphics 645 wordt toegepast in 15-Watt-processors en is daarom geschikt voor compacte notebooks.
