HiSilicon Kirin 810

De HiSilicon Kirin 810 is een ARM-gebaseerde mid-range Octa-Core-SoC voor Android-gebaseerde smartphones en tablets. Het werd aangekondigd medio 2019 en bevat 8 processorkernen. Twee snelle ARM Cortex-A76 cores met tot 2,27 GHz en zes kleine energiezuinige ARM Cortex-A55 cores met tot 1,88 GHz (bigLITTLE). Verder integreert de SoC een mid range grafische kaart genaamd ARM Mali-G52 MP6 met 6 clusters. Voor AI-versnelling integreert de Kirin 810 een Ascend D100 Lite NPU (Da Vinci architectuur). De LTE-modem integreert Cat.12/13 met Dual Sim VoLTE. Voor fotografie integreert de Kirin 810 de Kirin ISP4.0. De geheugencontroller ondersteunt LPDDR4X tot 2133 MHz. Verder zijn WiFi 802.11ac en Bluetooth 5.0 geïntegreerd in de chip.

De SoC wordt geproduceerd in het moderne 7nm proces bij TSMC en moet daarom zeer energiezuinig zijn.

De Huawei P40 Lite is de meest betaalbare smartphone in de nieuwe P40-reeks. Met zijn 6,4-inch display, de octa-core Kirin 810 SoC, 128 GB opslag en een 48-MP viercamerasysteem, concurreert hij in het fel omstreden middensegment.
