Als we eerst puur naar de hardware kijken zien we dat Honor met de Honor 9X Pro een mooie en solide mid-range toestel heeft afgeleverd, begint Mathieus zijn besluit. Mijn eerste indrukken van de Honor 9X Pro zijn positief. Dat komt omdat het toestel ten opzichte van de Honor 9X een aantal flinke verbeteringen heeft gehad: een mooie glazen achterzijde in Phantom Purple en een goed bereikbare vingerafdrukscanner aan de rechterzijde en meer werkgeheugen en opslagruimte. Zaken zoals kwaliteit van de foto’s en de werking van de vingerafdrukscanner zullen in een uitgebreide review onderzocht moeten worden. Andere zaken had ik liever anders gezien zoals het gebruik van het LCD-scherm en de nog steeds forse schermranden.

Even if there were no decent alternatives available, the Honor 9X Pro still wouldn’t get a pass; the fact that there are plenty just compounds the issue. So far the Honor 9X Pro has launched in the UK, some of Western Europe, and several MEA countries. In most of those regions you can get the Realme X2 with 30W fast charging, an impressive quad camera, and an AMOLED display for around £50 extra. The equally impressive Realme 6 Pro is also available for the same £249 asking price. Other contenders include the Samsung Galaxy A51, which can be found for under £299 on sale. Motorola’s lower-end phones, such as the Moto G8 Plus and Motorola One Vision, are also worth a look if you value clean software at the cost of processing power. ARM Mali-G52 MP6:
De meeste niet-veeleisende huidige games kunnen vloeiend draaien. Wees voorbereid op verminderde grafische weergave door lage detailinstellingen en lage resoluties. Toch verschaffen deze kaarten voldoende prestatie voor kantoor taken en video bekijken (niet voor HD videos).

Kirin 810: ARM-gebaseerde octa-core SoC met twee Cortex-A76-kernen voor prestatietaken (tot 2,2 GHz) en zes Cortex-A55-kernen (tot 1,88 GHz) om energie te besparen. Verder integreert de SoC een LTE-radio (1400 MBps omlaag) en een ARM Mali-G52MP6 GPU. De SoC wordt bij TSMC gefabriceerd in 7nm.
