De Honor 600 Pro maakt deel uit van de 600-serie van Honoren krijgt een beoordeling van 80%, die als goed wordt omschreven. Hij is uitgerust met een Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite-processor, Adreno 830 graphics, tot 16 GB geheugen en opslagmogelijkheden tot 1 TB. De telefoon heeft een 6,57 inch AMOLED-scherm met een vernieuwingsfrequentie van 120 Hz en een resolutie van 2728 x 1264. De camera wordt aangevoerd door een 200 MP hoofdsensor, ondersteund door telefoto- en ultrawide camera's, plus een 50 MP frontcamera. Reviews benadrukken de stap voorbij een "vlaggenschip-lite" identiteit, maar wijzen ook op een prijsverhoging van S$200 in vergelijking met zijn voorganger. Extra sterke punten zijn Android 16, 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC en een grote 7000 mAh batterij in een behuizing van 195 g.

EN→NLThe Honor 600 Pro is not the first smartphone to receive a price hike in 2026, and we reckon it won’t be the last either. What makes it notable is that it’s getting a S$200 price increase compared to its predecessor, while other brands have tried to limit their price hikes to S$100 or S$150. While it’s not unexpected, considering the recent instability and surge in memory prices, the increase is more than what most of us would expect. Hopefully, this is a one-off incident rather than a warning sign of more significant price hikes.

In a briefing, they officially took the wraps off their new Honor 600 series that consists of the Honor 600 and the Honor 600 Pro. Ahead of its official launch, we managed to get a sample for review and it’s certainly an interesting device indeed. Here’s our Honor 600 Pro first look and unboxing where we share our first impressions of their latest device. In the official literature, Honor has stated that their N-series phones which were primarily devices with midrange specifications will now be officially designated as a flagship series with equally top-shelf hardware with the teaser stating that it will sport a Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset though which one exactly hasn’t been officially mentioned yet.

Qualcomm Adreno 830: Geïntegreerde grafische eenheid in de Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC voor smartphones met drie schijfjes van elk 1,1 GHz. Geïntegreerde 12 MB gedeelde cache voor de drie schijfjes. Volgens Qualcomm 40% sneller dan de vorige generatie (Adreno 750).
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

SD 8 Elite: High-end SoC (System on a Chip) voor smartphones die eind 2024 werd gepresenteerd. Het bevat twee snelle Oryon Gen 2 Prime Cores tot 4,32 GHz en 6 kleinere Oryon Gen 2 Performance Cores tot 3,53 GHz.
