ARM Mali-T880 MP4

De ARM Mali-T880 MP4 is een mobile grafische kaart die toegepast wordt in ARM-SoC's als de HiSilicon Kirin 950. De chip is verkrijgbaar sinds het eerste kwartaal van 2016 en biedt ondersteuning voor OpenGL ES 3.1, OpenCL 1.2 en DirectX 11.2 (FL 11_2). De Mali-T880 kan bestaan uit 1 tot 16 clusters, waarbij de MP4-versie over 4 clusters/cores beschikt. De MP4-versie die wordt gebruikt in de SoC van HiSilicon/Huawei is geklokt aan max. 900 MHz en presteert gelijkaardig aan een Adreno 420 (Snapdragon 805) en PowerVR GX6450 (Apple A8). De Mali-T760 MP8 in de Samsung Exynos 7420 is echter sneller dankzij zijn 8 clusters. De Mali-T880MP4 presteert niettemin sterk genoeg voor veeleisende Android-games in Full-HD.

Dankzij het 16-nm-proces in de Kirin 950 kan de Mali-T880 toegepast worden in smartphones als de Huawei Mate 8.
