De Acer TravelMate X3410 is een goed voorbeeld van compromissen. Voor $ 1300 biedt de TravelMate X3410 een draagbare en goed gebouwde behuizing, goede opslagcapaciteit (512 GB) en voldoende prestaties voor zakelijk werk. Dat gezegd hebbende doet het notebook het in elke categorie minder dan de concurrentie, met name Lenovo's ThinkPad T480s, Dell's Latitude 7490 en HP's EliteBook 840 G5.
Het toetsenbord van de TravelMate is responsief maar voelt goedkoop aan, het beeldscherm is donker en korrelig en de prestaties worden zonder duidelijke reden fors gethrottlet. De batterijduur is uitstekend, maar sommige concurrenten (zoals de ThinkPad T480) bieden verschillende batterijconfiguraties aan voor langere batterijduren.
Onder aan de streep is de TravelMate X3410 een zakelijk notebook die "goed genoeg" is. Diegenen met de beperkter budget die op zoek zijn naar een dunne en lichte zakelijke notebook en een aantal compromissen niet erg vinden zullen een kijkje moeten nemen naar de Acer TravelMate X3410, maar de meeste gebruikers kunnen beter enkele honderden dollars meer uitgeven voor een betere notebook.
