So when the Vivo X300 landed on my desk, I had a feeling I was in for a good time. Vivo’s latest flagship, priced just under Rs 1 lakh, enters one of the most demanding segments in the market, a space where users expect everything from top-tier performance to a top-tier camera system and a design that stands out. And at first glance, the X300 certainly tries to deliver, right down to its oddly satisfying velvet-textured glass back.

If you want a compact flagship that prioritises camera performance without forcing you to lug a larger phone, the Vivo X300 is one of the best options in the market right now. It combines a genuinely pocketable size, a bright and adaptive LTPO display, flagship-level performance (thanks to Dimensity 9500), and a camera system that punches well above its weight. What’s good: Compact and comfortable design; excellent, bright 120Hz LTPO display; flagship performance with controlled thermals; a camera system that delivers vivid, textured images and solid low-light shots; long battery life for the size and very fast 90W charging. What could have been better: Speakers and haptics are competent but not class-leading; some AI processing can be a bit heavy in certain scenes; if you absolutely need the most extreme telephoto or the Pro’s largest battery, the X300 Pro still has the edge.

The Vivo X300 comes as a surprise package and impresses across the board. Whether it be its compact size, design, or build quality, the phone feels premium the moment you hold it in your hand. The handset also comes with a vibrant display that delivers smooth visuals and rich colours. Vivo also solved the biggest problem of compact smartphones: the battery. The handset, despite its small form factor, delivers almost a full day of battery life. The Vivo X300 seems to be a good flagship smartphone that can give Samsung and Apple a run for their money. I also appreciate the company's efforts to develop OriginOS, which is now much smoother and more fluid than the outdated FunTouchOS. Although the latest iOS version inspires it, I still found it refreshing to use.

It’s rare these days to find a genuinely compact flagship that doesn’t feel like a compromise, and that’s exactly where the Vivo X300 stands out. It’s small, comfortable to use, and easy to handle with one hand, yet it still feels every bit like a high-end phone. It has the power, the build quality, the cameras, and the software polish you’d expect from a proper flagship. Compared to the X200, the X300 feels much more refined. The display is brighter outdoors, the cameras are more consistent, the overall performance is smoother, and the switch to OriginOS takes the user experience up a level. Everything feels more complete this time, like Vivo didn’t hold back just because this is the smaller model. What I like most about the X300 is how balanced it feels.

So, overall, as someone who personally loves compact devices, I have had a great experience using the Vivo X300. As I said earlier, there is very little to no compromise here — the design feels premium, the display is solid, the battery life is probably one of the best on a compact phone, performance is flagship level, and the cameras more than justify the price. Of course, if it had a slightly more aggressive cooling system, this phone would have nailed the gaming aspect too, but for someone like me who isn’t a lot into gaming and just wants a good flagship Android experience in a compact size, this is a great phone.

The Vivo X300 is a pretty good smartphone, but it doesn't try to win you over with an aggressive price-tag. It's placed somewhere between an iPhone 17 and Galaxy S25 Plus in Europe, so it is confident in what it has to offer, and it asks confidence from whoever is going to buy it. Is it worth the price? Well, it definitely performs just as well, or outperforms its contemporaries in some categories. Its display is amazing, its camera is very good, its performance is up there with the best of them. Its stile is distinct — even if the software tries to copy iOS a little bit. The only reason you wouldn't go for the Vivo X300 straight away is concerns about software and support. Vivo promises up to 5 major Android updates, 7 years of security patches, with is pretty great. The question is how fast they would roll out.

Jeżeli dotarłeś do tego momentu mojego testu vivo X300, to pewnie wiesz, że uważam go za bardzo udany smartfon. Poza kilkoma wadami wymienionymi powyżej korzystało mi się z niego bardzo przyjemnie. Mogę polecić go każdemu, kto szuka małego smartfona do grania, fotografowania czy z dobrą baterią. Problemem jest tylko cena na poziomie 4699 złotych, bo konkurencja nie śpi. Moim zdaniem za około 3500 złotych ten smartfon za kilka miesięcy będzie kapitalną alternatywą dla kolejnej generacji flagowców, która ma podobno być znacznie droższa od obecnej. To po prostu bardzo dobry telefon, któremu bardzo mało brakuje do ideału.

The screen also offers a 120Hz refresh rate and is protected by reinforced glass with Mohs level 4 hardness. The device is built to withstand tough conditions with its IP68/IP69 rating for dust and high-pressure water resistance. It supports multiple SIM configurations, including eSIM for international models, providing great flexibility for travelers. Powered by the 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset, the Vivo X300 uses an octa-core CPU. Graphics are handled by the Arm G1-Ultra GPU, ensuring excellent performance for gaming and multitasking.

Add in the large 6040mAh battery, fast 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, and long-term software support, and you get a small phone that consistently behaves like a big flagship. It is not a perfect fit for everyone, especially at a price that puts it against Apple, Samsung, and Google. You do not get the strongest ecosystem story or the longest software support. However, if you care most about a compact form factor, strong battery life, and one of the best camera setups in this size class, the X300 stands out clearly. It feels less like a cut-down Pro model and more like a confident compact flagship in its own right.

This flagship pair are among the best smartphones of 2025, boasting optics that are brilliant for everyday shots and video - especially that Vivo X300 Pro, which upgrades the hardware in key ways. I've been testing the more premium model as my full-time handset this past week, so here's my verdict. Battery life is also at the top of the game, whatever your choice. The regular model does a fantastic job at any time of day, pumping out attractive portrait photos. However, it's the Vivo X300 Pro which truly excels at night, even with the zoom lens. And that's without the Photography Kit too.

The vivo X300 turned out to be an exemplary phone in pretty much every department - size, design and build, battery life, screen quality, camera experience, and OriginOS got a massive upgrade that made vivo's phones on par with all recent Androids. And that's just great! The vivo X300 impressed us with its smooth design and its super bright screen that has an impressively dynamic refresh rate. The battery life is a blast, too. The X300 is part of the vivo's photography flagship series and it does not disappoint - all four cameras deliver superb photo and video quality during the day. While the low-light photos remain impressive, the videos are somewhat average and that's our only remark here. We are glad that vivo has worked a lot on OriginOS and the underlying Android, and it has made some impressive improvements.

The X300 series is now official in China, and there's no clear commitment on vivo's part to make the phones global. There's some hope, though, as OriginOS 6, which made its Chinese debut last week, is expected to go global in a few days. Last year, we had a global X200 Pro, making a global X300 Pro logical, at the very least. We'll have to wait and see.But having had some time with the vivo X300 and X300 Pro, we can say we like them. They feel better in the hand than their predecessors and feel more complete as a series. That's mainly due to their sizes, which cover just about anyone who doesn't want a foldable.The change-up in build is welcome. A glossy and overly curved phone feels outdated in this world of flat, matte, slab phones we live in. Usher in the flatter, matter vivo X300 Pro with vivo's excellent cameras and software, and you've got yourself a better phone than the X200 Pro.

ARM Mali-G1 Ultra MC12: High-end grafische chip voor smartphones met 12 mogelijke kernen. Gebaseerd op de "5th Gen" architectuur (opvolger van Valhall) inclusief Variable Rate Shading (VRS) en Ray Racing (2e generatie).

Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
