EN→NLOverall, the vivo X300 FE is a flagship smartphone that checks nearly all the right boxes. It offers a premium design, an excellent display, strong performance, capable cameras, and impressive battery life. My biggest concern with the device is its pricing, as there are several strong competitors in this price range. However, if you’re looking for a compact flagship that delivers a balanced experience across the board, the vivo X300 FE is certainly worth considering.

EN→NLThe vivo X300 FE may be the youngest sibling in the X300 family, but it successfully establishes its own identity. Instead of trying to compete directly with the X300 Pro or X300 Ultra, it focuses on delivering a balanced flagship experience in a package that’s easier to carry and easier to recommend.

EN→NLVivo X300 FE gets a lot right. It delivers flagship-grade performance, a compact and premium design, excellent battery life, fast wired and wireless charging, and a camera system that performs well in most situations. The telephoto camera is particularly impressive, while the main camera remains reliable across lighting conditions. Add to that a bright AMOLED display, polished software experience, and five years of software support, and you have a phone that feels thoroughly premium.

EN→NLThe Vivo X300 FE is a compact handset with a charming design that's sure to appeal to anyone looking for a smaller phone with quality snappers. I have really enjoyed using it, and while the cameras aren't quite on par with the rest of the X300 lineup, they're still impressive - and I often preferred shots from the X300 FE over similar snaps from the S26 base model. As for whether it's worth buying, it all depends on the pricing. The cost of Vivo's global models often varies significantly between regions, and my opinion rests on how big the price gap is between this and the standard X300. The X300 is almost exactly the same size as the FE, but the cameras are much more versatile, and the video capabilities are a big step-up, too. If it won't cost you much more, then it's the obvious choice. However, if the X300 FE is significantly cheaper, then it's a great option, just don't expect too much of the ultrawide camera.

EN→NLSometimes a phone surprises you, and this is one of those times. Near-flagship performance, exceptional battery life, fast wired and wireless charging, a great display, and a design that stands apart from the crowd cover a lot of ground in a package that actually fits in your pocket. The problem is the pricing. The X300 FE starts from €999 in Europe and costs more than the standard X300, which is a difficult position to defend when the standard model has a superior ultra-wide lens.

EN→NLIf the S$2,499 Vivo X300 Ultra is too expensive for you, then the more modestly priced Vivo X300 FE may be something to consider. It offers more modest specs in the form of Zeiss-powered 50MP camera, a 6.31-inch AMOLED 120Hz display, 256GB storage, and 12GB RAM. And like the X300 Ultra, you can also use the 200mm Gen 2 Telephoto Extender Lens to get more reach. But if you choose to skip the Extender Lens, the phone is still quite a capable shooter, though not as good, obviously, especially when you start zooming. Otherwise, the Vivo X300 FE offers plenty for the average user. You get the mid-range Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 (SM8845), Android 16 (on top of OriginOS 6), Wi-Fi 7, and a 6,500mAh battery with wireless charging.

EN→NLThe OPPO Find X9s and Vivo X300 FE both position themselves as well-rounded sub-flagships that put camera performance, smooth everyday usage, and strong battery life at the centre of their appeal. However, they are not a one-size-fits-all proposition. The Vivo X300 FE feels more compact and modern in hand, with a sharper 1.5K LTPO display, faster wired charging, and the added convenience of wireless charging. Its camera system is more expressive, delivering punchy, contrast-heavy images, excellent portraits, and standout selfies. However, it is held back by a weaker ultrawide camera and less consistent exposure handling in challenging lighting conditions. The OPPO Find X9s, on the other hand, is the more balanced and technically consistent package, offering stronger cameras. It also shows better sustained performance under heavy workloads. That said, its design feels less compact, its display refresh rate handling is less efficient, and its portraits and selfies can occasionally appear softer than Vivo’s output.

EN→NLIf you are tired of the massive, unwieldy phablets that dominate the flagship market right now, the vivo X300 FE is going to feel like an absolute revelation. vivo has somehow managed to pack legitimate, top-tier flagship specs into a compact, 6.31-inch form factor that won’t stretch your pockets or require two hands to use comfortably. It is a “Fan Edition” that actually feels like it was designed for people who want raw power without the oversized footprint. The vivo X300 FE is an excellent choice for power users who are exhausted by the trend of ever-expanding screen sizes. It proves that you don’t have to sacrifice battery life, processing speed, or camera quality just because you want a phone that actually fits comfortably in your hand. While the software might take some getting used to (especially for Americans), the sheer hardware value packed into this compact chassis makes it one of the most compelling “small” phones of the year. I will add that the price point wildly varies, and that might be a factor for some.

EN→NLThe smartphone market is oversaturated, with every new phone vying to become the most popular device. Over the years, a sense of homogeneity has settled in with similar designs, specifications, and user experie nce. Perhaps the only key determining factor today is the value derived from them. I have been testing smartphones for a while, with varied colours, sizes, and shapes, but mostly I have grown to value the overall experience. And, to be honest, not many phones have been able to deliver complete satisfaction. Earlier this month, vivo released its latest in the X300 series, the X300 FE. More than a smartphone, and quite a looker, the X300 FE stands tall among flagships grappling for your attention. It’s got a spectacular design, great cameras, and a silky smooth software experience. I have been switching between my primary phone (an iPhone 16 Pro) and the vivo X300 FE for the past few weeks, and in this review I will share what stood out to me.

EN→NLThe X300 FE nails the basics of a compact flagship; the smaller size makes it comfortable to hold and use one-handed, and Vivo didn't miss out on the essentials. The best part is that the 6,500mAh battery is among the biggest of any Vivo phone, and if you want a small phone that lasts a day and a half, there really isn't anything better. The cameras are great in their own right, and the internals are in line with the X300 FE's immediate rivals. The main issue is pricing; as it stands, the X300 FE just costs too much, and you're better off getting the regular X300 instead. But once Vivo corrects the pricing, the X300 FE should be a better choice.

EN→NLThe OnePlus 15 emerges as the more capable battery performer in this comparison, pulling ahead with faster charging and stronger results in both synthetic benchmarks and day-to-day usage. That said, the Vivo X300 FE is far from outclassed. Despite its more compact form factor and smaller battery, it delivers consistent efficiency across video streaming and everyday tasks. In fact, the X300 FE matches the OnePlus 15 in the gaming test, underlining its well-balanced optimisation.

EN→NLThe vivo X300 FE is a solid smartphone with a lovely design, sturdy body, an excellent 6.31-inch HDR screen, and a properly powerful chipset, even if it's not a chart-topper. We were impressed with its battery life, plus there is fast charging with a bypass battery option where needed. The camera has always been a strong vivo side, and the X300 FE does not disappoint - it delivers great 1x and 2x shots, the zoomed ones are equally impressive, and so are the selfies. Even the 8MP ultrawide is better than usual. Oddly, the vivo X300 FE failed to impress as a camcorder - we wish it had a sharper video output. The GPU performance, while plenty fast, is not up to par with other €1,000 phones with an Elite chipset, as the charts will show. It handles gaming well, but if you are a gamer, there would be zero reasons to get the nerfed FE model instead of the X300 or X300 Pro. And that's about it. The X300 FE is a very good phone across the board; it's the pricing that gets in the way. Once settles down a bit, it will be one for your shortlists for sure.

EN→NLUnless Vivo raises the price of the standard Vivo X300 or phases it out entirely, the Vivo X300 FE will likely remain a niche compact flagship. The handset makes a strong case for users seeking a premium compact smartphone with excellent battery life, reliable performance, and a capable camera system. However, it loses out on value when compared against similarly-priced phones, such as Vivo X300 and OnePlus 15 (review).

EN→NLPricing is where things get a little confusing. The Vivo X300 FE is priced in India at Rs 79,999 for the 256 GB variant and Rs 89,999 for the 512 GB model, which is a whopping Rs 25,000 and Rs 30,000 more expensive than the launch price of the X200 FE less than 10 months ago. We are fully aware of the memory shortage issues the world is going through right now, yet, this is way too much. What’s even more baffling is the Vivo X300 that is meant to be a superior model with even better cameras and a faster processor still sells for a good Rs 4,000 (256 GB) and Rs 8,000 (512 GB) less. We are in the process of comparing the two models to see if we have missed something. We will let you know in the final review while still hoping to see a price correction for the X300 FE by then.

EN→NLThe Vivo X300 FE is a good smartphone, but it feels slightly caught between its intent and where it sits in the lineup. On one hand, Vivo has delivered a well-rounded package. You get a compact, premium design, an excellent colour-accurate display, strong battery life, and a camera system that performs reliably. In daily use, it feels fast, polished, and easy to live with, which is exactly what you expect from something positioned close to a flagship. But the bigger conversation is around its positioning. At this price, it sits very close to the Vivo X300, which, with ongoing offers, starts to feel like the more complete option, thanks to its better camera and performance, while offering a largely similar overall experience.

EN→NLIndeed, the telephoto extender lens makes sense if you are a camera enthusiast looking for a lighter on-the-go setup instead of carrying your usual DSLR. Somehow, I don't see the casual smartphone buyer getting excited about the same, because the extender isn't a necessity but rather an expensive add-on. Vivo seems to have taken a gamble, and the brand decided to upgrade its value-for-money FE into a high-end premium product this year. It's got a new design and a premium feature like wireless charging and the extender lens system, but everything else is pretty much where the FE was, and that's a problem.Vivo's existing X300 packs better imaging hardware and also has its own Telephoto Extender accessory (albeit a slightly older one) and better raw performance.

EN→NLThe Vivo X300 FE is not the easiest phone to recommend purely on value, because at Rs 79,999 it sits in a tricky position. The standard X300 costs less and offers a more powerful chipset, while other rivals in this range may give you stronger raw performance. If gaming benchmarks and maximum sustained power are your top priorities, the X300 FE is not the smartest buy. However, this phone is not trying to win on specs alone. It makes its case through a different kind of premium experience. You get a compact and premium design, an excellent LTPO AMOLED display, dependable all-day battery life, fast charging, and most importantly, a very strong camera system. Vivo’s image processing remains one of the best in the segment, especially for daylight photography, portraits and selfies.

EN→NLThe vivo X300 FE stands out as the premium compact flagship that gets almost everything right on first impressions. It combines a stunning ultra-bright 1.5K LTPO AMOLED display, powerful Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 performance, ZEISS-backed camera system with modular telephoto capabilities, premium aluminum-glass construction, and a huge 6,500 mAh battery – all while maintaining a slim and lightweight form factor. The addition of OriginOS 6, AI-powered features, IP68 + IP69 durability, ultrasonic fingerprint scanner, and wireless charging further strengthens its premium appeal. From our early hands-on experience, the vivo X300 FE feels like one of the most complete compact flagship smartphones currently available in the Indian market with enhanced camera powers.

EN→NLThe Vivo X300 FE is a sub-flagship offering from the OEM, priced in India starting at Rs 79,999. The smartphone doesn’t offer the absolute best chipset or camera hardware. Instead, Vivo has focused on delivering a well-balanced experience, built around practicality, subtle upgrades, and a camera-centric approach. There are several positives for the smartphone, but its core audience remains content creators. This is attributed to its versatile, capable camera system, which delivers consistent, vibrant results, especially for portraits. However, video performance needs more consistency across lenses. Still, for casual shooting, the handset holds up well. There are also a few compelling reasons for Vivo X200 FE users to consider upgrading. While both devices share plenty of similarities, the standout addition here is support for the telephoto extender kit. Exclusive to the X300 FE, it adds meaningful reach and versatility – just like the other X300 series lineup. Performance, too, is dependable rather than class-leading. While there are more powerful options in this segment, such as the Realme GT 8 Pro (review), iQOO 15 (review), and OnePlus 15 (review), the X300 FE counters with a compact, premium design that few rivals match.

EN→NLThe Vivo X300 FE ditches the vertical, pill-shaped camera layout found on the X200 FE in favour of a horizontal camera island that spans the entire width of the rear panel. Whenever I used the device without the bundled case or telephoto extender casing, the camera bump helped my fingers rest naturally, providing a more comfortable and secure grip. Following in the footsteps of the Vivo X200 FE, the X300 FE boasts a handy design that weighs just 191g and is fairly sleek at 7.99mm thick. With a metallic sideframe and a matte rear panel finish, the X300 FE feels quite robust to wield, even though most may find it slippery to use without a cover. While I got to experience the Lilac Purple shade, a bright and fun colour, the handset will also be available in Noir Black, which offers an understated look, and the India-exclusive Urban Olive green colourway. Running at its core is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, while a large 6,500mAh battery powers the Vivo X300 FE, which is a major plus for a device as compact as the X300 FE.

EN→NLThe vivo X300 FE is the kind of compact flagship that doesn’t feel like a compromise once you’re actually using it. The design is restrained and coherent, the battery is frankly impressive for the size, the chipset handles everything you throw at it, and the camera does its best work in exactly the situations most people find themselves in, out in the world rather than on a lab bench. What the X300 FE offers is a phone that’s easy to carry, genuinely long-lasting, and capable enough for the photography and day-to-day demands you’ll actually encounter. It’s well built, well supported, and clearly designed with a specific kind of person in mind. That clarity of purpose is refreshing, and for the right buyer, it’s exactly what makes this phone worth serious consideration.

Reviewing the Vivo X300 FE, one of the best mini smartphones of 2026, with a full test of the camera tech, battery life, gaming performance and beyond. The Vivo X300 FE might be tricky to track down in some global regions but if you're a fan of compact phones, it's worth hunting. Some people reckon this is an iPhone Air rip-off but I'd much rather have this blower stashed in my pants. For one, the Vivo X300 FE boasts far superior battery life, satisfying even the most demanding users. You've also got a much better selection of cameras - including a decent telephoto shooter. Performance is solid, certainly good enough for gaming on more intensive titles like Wuthering Waves. The Vivo X300 FE also offers a dedicated game mode, courtesy of OriginOS 6. All of this, crammed into a lovely compact body. I'm a big fan of this mini mobile, but what do you reckon? Is the Vivo X300 FE worth tracking down? Let us know your thoughts below! EN→NLThe Vivo X300 FE is extremely easy to recommend. This is one of the best compact smartphones on the market. It has a 6.3-inch display, which is plenty large, but thanks to the thin bezels, the phone is very compact. It has a very capable camera setup, excellent display, and performance that can keep up with even more powerful phones on the market. To top it all off, the battery life is class-leading, and fast charging is immensely fast. There’s not much to complain about here, and if you’re looking for a more compact phones, this one should be on your radar.

EN→NLThe Vivo X300 FE was announced on March 4, 2026, and it is expected to release later in March. This phone looks like a strong flagship contender with a compact yet premium design. It measures 150.8 x 71.8 x 8 mm and weighs 191 g, making it relatively comfortable to hold. The device uses a glass front and back with an aluminum alloy frame, giving it a solid feel. It is also IP68/IP69 rated, meaning it can handle dust and high-pressure water exposure, which adds to its durability. On the front, the phone features a 6.31-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1 billion colors, 120Hz refresh rate, and HDR support. The screen has a 1216 x 2640 resolution with a sharp ~461 ppi pixel density, and it can reach a very high 5000 nits peak brightness, making outdoor viewing easier.
