Na het high-end segment (RTX 5090, RTX 5080) en het hogere middensegment (RTX 5070 [Ti]) is het nu tijd voor Nvidia om zich op het lagere middensegment te richten. De Lenovo LOQ 15 is een van de eerste laptops met de RTX 5060 die we hebben kunnen testen.

The Lenovo LOQ 15 with an RTX 5060 is positioned to be the best budget gaming laptop of 2025 with a relatively affordable price (if / when it goes on sale), solid build quality and a bunch of other good things. But under the LOQ 15's hood here's also some very serious battery life reductions and a few other limitations that you absolutely NEED to know about.

EN→NLThe LOQ 15 is worth considering as a secondary laptop specifically for gaming. Its 15.6-inch, 16:9 display can feel cramped for general use compared to roomier and taller 16-inch, 16:10 displays, but its resolution and aspect ratio are perfectly suited for 1080p gaming. And you'll get more than playable frame rates at 1080p from its RTX 5060 GPU. For a more versatile gaming laptop, I recommend the Acer Nitro V 16S AI, which has an RTX 5060 but a bigger and brighter 16-inch display, more RAM and storage, some aluminum in its build and RGB backlighting. It costs about $250 more but is the better value. Moving up the price scale a little further, I also like the Alienware 16X Aurora and Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 10. The HP Omen 16 is also a good choice, especially when it's on sale.

EN→NLThe Lenovo LOQ 15 could be a decent budget gaming pick if not for one serious issue: the display. I noticed serious ghosting and blurring while using the laptop. This was an issue both in-game and also on the Windows desktop. It’s a shame, because the LOQ 15’s performance level is respectable for its price tag, but I can’t recommend the laptop unless you don’t want to use the included display and instead intend to use the laptop with an external monitor. Indeed, I think that’s arguably the one appealing use case for the LOQ 15. You could just use it as a portable RTX 5060. At $809.99, the LOQ 15 isn’t that much more expensive than a desktop RTX 5060 paired with a PCIe dock and power supply, and it’s way easier to travel with, or even move around your house.

It's exceptional in those elements and delivers excellent 1080p gaming performance. Sadly, however, due to what are assumedly cost-cutting measures on the RAM and SSD front, it doesn't quite nail the landing with its entry-level model.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop: Mobiele mid-range videokaart uit de Blackwell familie gebaseerd op de GB206 chip met 3328 shaders en 8 GB GDDR7 grafisch geheugen (128 bit).
Deze middenklasse grafische kaarten kunnen alle huidige spellen vloeiend spelen. Veeleisende spellen kunnen alleen met gemiddelde detail instellingen gespeeld worden.

R7 250: Een krachtige laptopprocessor (APU) uit de Hawk Point familie. Dit is geen geheel nieuwe APU; in plaats daarvan is de R7 250 een vermomde R7 8840U. De acht Zen 4 cores draaien op 3,3 GHz tot 5,1 GHz en zijn SMT-enabled voor een totaal van 16 verwerkingsthreads.
