EN→NLAcer’s Predator Helios Neo 16S AI brings thin mobile PC gaming to a larger screen size, which works—to an extent. Its CPU performance was almost unmatched, and its OLED display wowed us. If you want a thin gaming laptop on a relative budget, this is a good pick, but it will cost you some speed at maximum resolution versus thicker machines. The RTX 5060 GPU is fine in a vacuum, but you can find similarly equipped laptops for less, like the two Lenovo systems in our test group. Overall, if you want to get the most out of a gaming laptop, thicker models prevail. While Acer’s Predator Helios Neo 16S AI works well as a slim big-screen gamer, if you want a truly stellar midrange gaming laptop, check out the Lenovo Legion 5i Gen 10, our current Editors' Choice award holder.

EN→NLOkay, as we've reached the end of this review, I really loved this new Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI. It has everything I need, including a beautiful OLED display, a slim, professional design, powerful performance, and plenty of ports! Saying that, we also have other options in this price range, like the Lenovo Legion Pro 5 2025 for NPR 244,999, which comes with AMD Ryzen 7 8745HX and RTX 5060 graphics. But here's the thing – we get a much faster CPU on the Acer, and the Legion also lacks that 240Hz fast refresh rate. So adding that extra NPR 8,000 for the Acer is absolutely worth it. And at NPR 252,999, the Ultra 7 255HX with RTX 5060 makes way more sense and offers better value for money compared to the Ultra 9 275HX with RTX 5070. So the RTX 5060 configuration is definitely the sweet spot here, but if you need that extra raw power, you can always go with the RTX 5070 option.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop: Mobiele mid-range videokaart uit de Blackwell familie gebaseerd op de GB206 chip met 3328 shaders en 8 GB GDDR7 grafisch geheugen (128 bit).
Deze middenklasse grafische kaarten kunnen alle huidige spellen vloeiend spelen. Veeleisende spellen kunnen alleen met gemiddelde detail instellingen gespeeld worden.

Ultra 7 255HX: Mobiele high-end CPU voor gaming notebooks gebaseerd op de Arrow Lake architectuur. Biedt 20 cores bestaande uit 8 snelle prestatiecores met een kloksnelheid tot 5,2 GHz en 12 kleinere efficiëntiekernen met een kloksnelheid tot 4,5 GHz. De CPU heeft toegang tot 30 MB L2 cache en 36 MB L3 cache en heeft een TDP van 55 watt.
