De responstijden van het scherm tonen hoe snel het scherm in staat is om van één kleur naar de andere te veranderen. Trage responstijden kunnen aanleiding geven tot 'nabeelden' rond bewegende objecten of het scherm wazig maken (blur). Vooral spelers van snelle 3D-games hebben baat bij een scherm met snelle responstijden.

Dit betekent dat de gemeten responstijd vergelijkbaar is met het gemiddelde (38.7 ms) van alle geteste toestellen.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

Om de schermhelderheid te verlagen schakelen sommige laptops het backlight erg snel aan en uit. Dit gebeurt aan een dergelijk hoge frequentie dat het niet zichtbaar is voor het menselijk oog. Als de frequentie te laag is kunnen personen met gevoelige ogen geïrriteerd geraken, hoofdpijn krijgen en zelfs flickering waarnemen.
Screen flickering / PWM niet waargenomen

Ter vergelijking: 51 % van alle geteste toestellen maakten geen gebruik van PWM om de schermhelderheid te verlagen. Als het wel werd gebruikt, werd een gemiddelde van 17539 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 2500000) Hz waargenomen.

De GF75 10SDR-253 is gemaakt voor gamers die op zoek zijn naar ultieme prestaties voor een prijs van minder dan $1200.

De GeForce GTX 1660 Ti is veel sneller dan de GTX 1650 (Ti) die doorgaans wordt aangetroffen in notebooks met dezelfde prijs. De CPU-prestaties zijn ook indrukwekkend, hoewel we een Ryzen 5 4600H hadden gewild in plaats van de Core i7-10750H, die niet alleen potentieel sneller zou zijn geweest, maar ook efficiënter, koeler en daarom ook stiller dankzij het 7 nm ( vergeleken met 14 nm) fabricageproces. De rest van de hardware was voldoende. 16 GB RAM, een M.2 PCIe SSD en een 144 Hz-paneel zijn up-to-date.

 

Een hogere beoordeling had kunnen worden bereikt met betere connectiviteit (geen Thunderbolt 3, geen kaartlezer, geen DisplayPort), beter ventilatorbeheer en een batterij met een hogere capaciteit. De Dagobert Duck onder ons zal het nog steeds moeilijk vinden om weerstand te bieden. Aangezien een Windows 10-licentie al voor ongeveer $50 kan worden gekocht, zal het feit dat het apparaat in sommige landen zonder een wordt geleverd, alleen problematisch zijn voor onervaren beginners.
