Verdict - Eenvoudige Premium Business
Overwegende dat de EliteBook Ultra G1i 14 de nadruk legt op OLED en slankheid en de EliteBook X G1a 14 de nadruk legt op prestaties met zijn unieke Ryzen AI 9 HX Pro CPU, is de EliteBook X G1i 14 de meer down-to-earth oplossing van de drie die afziet van mooie OLED en HX-serie processors ten gunste van sterke fundamentals. De Lunar Lake CPU en het standaard 60 Hz IPS-scherm zullen geen indruk maken op prestatiejagers of contentmakers, maar ze zijn verpakt in een slanke metalen behuizing die perfect is voor kantoorwerk onderweg.
Alternatieven zoals de Dell Latitude 9440 zijn zwaarder dan onze EliteBook, terwijl andere zoals de Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon G13 lichter zijn, maar zonder WWAN-functies.
De accuduur is een opvallend pluspunt van de EliteBook X G1i 14. Aangezien het model geen OLED-configuraties biedt, zoals bij de meeste andere subnotebooks van vlaggenschepen het geval is, kunnen de looptijden bij surfen op het web merkbaar enkele uren langer zijn. Zorg ervoor dat u de grotere 68 Wh accu gebruikt om dit voordeel te maximaliseren.
De hardware die verantwoordelijk is voor de langere levensduur van de batterij is ook verantwoordelijk voor enkele van de nadelen van het systeem. De ruwe CPU-prestaties zijn bescheiden en het ontbreken van OLED kan een domper zijn voor multimediatoepassingen, en dat allemaal om de batterijduur te verbeteren. De EliteBook X G1i 14 is voldoende voor tekstverwerking en lichte bewerkingen onderweg, terwijl de eerder genoemde EliteBook Ultra G1i 14 of EliteBook X G1a 14 meer veeleisende scenario's aankunnen.

Prijs en beschikbaarheid
De EliteBook X G1i 14 is een high-end zakelijke subnotebook als opvolger van de oudere EliteBook 1040 serie. Hij moet niet worden verward met de EliteBook Ultra G1i 14 die wordt geleverd met andere poorten, processors en schermopties en een iets ander chassisontwerp.
Onze testunit is een middelste configuratie met de Lunar Lake Core Ultra 7 268V CPU, 68 Wh batterij en 1200p 60 Hz IPS touchscreen voor ongeveer $3300. Andere SKU's beginnen met de Core Ultra 5 238V, een kleinere 56 Wh batterij of een 1600p 120 Hz IPS touchscreen met een hogere resolutie.
