Archive.org versionSuper fijne laptop met veel aansluitingen (USB-C). In bruikleen van werkgever. Komt geleverd met W10 maar heb er meteen Ubuntu 20.10 opgezet. Draait zonder problemen nu sinds 2 weken. SSD is nice en snel, niks bijzonders. Scherm is prachtig helder en strak. Mooie kleuren, beetje verzadigd maar niet overdreven.

Now, the processor they use is being used pretty well, and the cooling solution is able to maintain the higher 28W sustained power limit of the Core i7-1165G7. Interestingly, the graphics performance is extremely poor, considering the power of this GPU. And this is with all performance enhancements and the latest drivers.

EN→NLSo, Lenovo has done a good job in the main department – security. The ThinkBook 15 Gen 4 features a firmware TPM 2.0, as well as a privacy shutter, and a fingerprint reader. The Kensington Nano slot, on the other hand, will help you protect your device from theft. The build quality is also okay, but the base is a bit bendy. Probably because of the plastic body. Interestingly, the keyboard left us with mixed feelings. It has a backlight and it’s spill-resistant. However, the key travel is super short. This is exactly the opposite of what we’re used to seeing on ThinkPads, which is a huge argument against the ThinkBooks. At the end of the day, the ThinkPad E15 Gen 4 is a very similar product, that is better built, and in our opinion – is the better bang for the buck in the business world.

Lenovo: Lenovo ("Le" uit de Engelse legende, novo (Latijn voor nieuw) werd in 1984 opgericht als Chinees handelsbedrijf in computers. In 2004 was het bedrijf de grootste laptopfabrikant in China en, na de overname van IBM's pc-divisie in 2005, de op drie na grootste ter wereld. Naast desktops en notebooks produceert het bedrijf monitoren, projectors, servers, enz. en is het gespecialiseerd in de ontwikkeling, productie en marketing van consumentenelektronica, pc's, software, bedrijfsoplossingen en aanverwante diensten.
In 2016 stond het bedrijf op de eerste plaats in de wereld wat betreft computerverkopen. Dit was in 2023 nog steeds het geval, met een wereldwijd marktaandeel van ongeveer 23%. Belangrijke productlijnen zijn Thinkpad, Legion en Ideapad.
In 2011 verwierf het een meerderheidsbelang in Medion AG, een Europese fabrikant van computerhardware. In 2014 werd Motorola Mobility gekocht, wat Lenovo een boost gaf op de smartphonemarkt.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

Comet Lake-gebaseerde energie-efficiënte quad-core-processor (technisch identiek aan Whiskey Lake en nog altijd geproduceerd in 14nm++). De CPU-cores kunnen klokken tussen 1.6 en 4.2 GHz (alle 4 cores 3.9 GHz max.) met HyperThreading (8 threads). De geïntegreerde geheugencontroller ondersteunt DDR4-2666 en met cTDP up/down kunnen de prestaties door de fabrikant aangepast worden (10 - 25 Watt mogelijk, 15 Watt standaard). In vergelijking met de snellere i5-10510U werd het level 3-cache verminderd van 8 tot 6 MB.

Mobiele APU met zes kernen met Zen 3-kernen geklokt op 2,3 tot 4,3 GHz en een Vega grafische adapter met 7 kernen geklokt op maximaal 1800 MHz.

Een op Alder-Lake gebaseerde mobiele processor met 2 prestatiekernen en 8 efficiënte kernen. De prestatiekernen bieden hyper-threading, waardoor 12 threads kunnen worden verwerkt. De CPU draait op frequenties van 0,9 tot 4,4 GHz. De TDP is gespecificeerd op 15 Watt.
