Sharp's terugkeer op de westerse smartphone markt is een lastige taak, en met de Sharp Aquos C10 slaagt de fabrikant er met de eerste poging in om een solide middenklasse smartphone op de markt te zetten. De smartphone kan overtuigen met zijn heldere beeldscherm, goede camera's, fatsoenlijke batterijduur en snelle WLAN. De prestaties zijn allemaal voldoende en de Sharp smartphone voelt over het algemeen snel aan. Er zijn echter enkele smartphones in deze prijsklasse die aanzienlijk krachtiger zijn. Daarnaast is er merkbaar sprake van throttling in de Sharp Aquos C10 bij langduriger belasting.
Met de Aquos C10 maakt Sharp een goede rentre op de westerse markt. Met name de camera's, WLAN-snelheid en de batterijduur zijn overtuigend.
Aan de andere kant kunnen potentiële klanten zich ergeren aan het ontbreken van een 3.5-mm poort, matige stemkwaliteit en natuurlijk kan de inkeping in het beeldscherm een dealbreker zijn voor sommigen. Diegenen die de ongebruikelijke vormgeving kunnen waarderen en niet de krachtigste hardware nodig hebben, zullen een goede smartphone in handen krijgen die niet een dertien in een dozijn is.
