We hebben lang gewacht. Draadloos opladen en IP-certificering in een OnePlus-smartphone zijn eindelijk realiteit geworden. Een 120 Hz-scherm en een kleurenfiltercamera zijn andere nieuwe functies. We zullen in dit testrapport verduidelijken of de OnePlus 8 Pro zijn hoge prijs van $799 waard is.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

Om de schermhelderheid te verlagen schakelen sommige laptops het backlight erg snel aan en uit. Dit gebeurt aan een dergelijk hoge frequentie dat het niet zichtbaar is voor het menselijk oog. Als de frequentie te laag is kunnen personen met gevoelige ogen geïrriteerd geraken, hoofdpijn krijgen en zelfs flickering waarnemen.
Screen flickering / PWM waargenomen 258 Hz

Het backlight van het scherm flikkert aan 258 Hz (hoogstwaarschijnlijk met PWM - Pulse-Width Modulation) .

De frequentie van 258 Hz is relatief hoog en de meeste mensen die gevoelig zijn aan flickering zouden dit dus niet mogen waarnemen of geïrriteerde ogen krijgen. Er zijn echter rapporten die beweren dat sommige mensen toch flickering met 500 Hz en hoger kunnen waarnemen: opgelet dus.

Ter vergelijking: 51 % van alle geteste toestellen maakten geen gebruik van PWM om de schermhelderheid te verlagen. Als het wel werd gebruikt, werd een gemiddelde van 18254 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 2500000) Hz waargenomen.

Responstijd Scherm

De responstijden van het scherm tonen hoe snel het scherm in staat is om van één kleur naar de andere te veranderen. Trage responstijden kunnen aanleiding geven tot 'nabeelden' rond bewegende objecten of het scherm wazig maken (blur). Vooral spelers van snelle 3D-games hebben baat bij een scherm met snelle responstijden.

Het scherm vertoonde erg snelle responstijden in onze tests en zou zeer geschikt moeten zijn voor snelle games.
Ter vergelijking: alle testtoestellen variëren van 0.8 (minimum) tot 240 (maximum) ms. » 7 % van alle toestellen zijn beter.
Dit betekent dat de gemeten responstijd beter is dan het gemiddelde (24.8 ms) van alle geteste toestellen.

De OnePlus 8 Pro is een geweldige smartphone en is nog steeds relatief goedkoop, gezien de functies die hij biedt en vergeleken met andere moderne topmodellen. Desalniettemin heeft OnePlus bijna de grens van $1000 bereikt, waardoor de OnePlus 8 Pro een goedkope high-end smartphone met uitstekende functies is in plaats van een betaalbaar vlaggenschip.

Dit omvat het geweldige 120 Hz-beeldscherm, dat indrukwekkend helder wordt en HDR10 + ondersteunt. OnePlus heeft het paneel ook goed genoeg gekalibreerd voor professionele gebruikers. Bovendien zorgt het 240 Hz bemonsteringspercentage ervoor dat het touchscreen ongelooflijk snel aanvoelt.

Nieuwe functies en een nieuwe prijs: de OnePlus 8 Pro biedt toptechnologie, maar de smartphones van OnePlus zijn niet langer goedkoop.
