Boven deze helderheid zou er geen flickering / PWM mogen optreden. De frequentie van 60 Hz is erg laag en kan dus aanleiding geven tot geïrriteerde ogen en hoofdpijn bij langer gebruik. Ter vergelijking: 52 % van alle geteste toestellen maakten geen gebruik van PWM om de schermhelderheid te verlagen. Asus heeft de ZenBook uitgerust met een Core-i7 processor van de Kaby Lake generatie. In combinatie met een GeForce 940MX grafische core, biedt de computer voldoende kracht om ook applicaties naast internet- en zakelijke toepassingen te draaien. De ingebouwde GeForce grafische core is het grootste verschil met de ZenBook UX3410UA die we eerder testen, en die geen aparte GPU had.
Wellicht maak je je zorgen dat de extra grafische core leidt tot verhoogde geluidsontwikkeling en verminderde batterijlevensduur. We kunnen dit niet bevestigen.
Al met al werkt de UX3410UQ stiller dan de UX3410UA en behaalt een betere looptijd in ons praktijk-relevante WLAN test.
Een solid-state drive garandeert een snel lopen systeem. Daarnaast is er een conventionele 2.5-inch harde schijf (1 TB) voor opslag. Beide opslagmedia kunnen vervangen worden. Om dat te doen moet je echter de behuizing open maken. Het matte IPS beeldscherm heeft een plezierig hoge helderheid, contrast en stabiele kijkhoeken.
