De HP ZBook X G1i 16 is een opgefrist mobiel werkstation in ZBook Power-stijl, gericht op professionals die sterke prestaties willen in een relatief slanke 16-inch behuizing. Het combineert een Intel Core Ultra 7 265H (Arrow Lake-H) met een Nvidia RTX PRO 2000 Blackwell Laptop GPU en kan worden geconfigureerd met ruim voldoende geheugen, zoals 64GB DDR5. Reviewindrukken beschrijven het als krachtig en efficiënt genoeg voor veeleisende workflows zoals 3D-modelleren, CAD en zware multitasking, met een pro-gerichte ontwerptaal. Connectiviteit is een belangrijk pluspunt, inclusief Thunderbolt 4/USB4, HDMI, DisplayPort, SD-kaartlezer en moderne netwerken tot Wi-Fi 7. It's a powerful mix between a portable powerhouse and a lean mean computing machine, all while retaining that professional style. It's ideal for, quite honestly, people like me. Project managers, side hustlers, system architects, hybrid professionals, the kind of people who have their hands in everything and anything at all times. It's not the machine I'd choose to run my powerful app servers on, but if you need a machine that has workstation power in a form factor you're not dreading to take with you, then the HP ZBook X G1i is an option worth considering.

EN→NLThe HP ZBook X G1i is a seriously svelte and superbly powerful mobile workstation. On the higher-end models, like the one reviewed, it's got the chops to chew through complex calculations, 3D modeling, and anything else you could dream up. But if you can't afford to crank the sliders up to the top, it's no different from most consumer laptops, except the price tag is twice what you'd expect to pay for a comparable Arrow Lake mobile clamshell with no discrete GPU. That said, anyone needing a mobile workstation won't be settling for second-best, which means speccing it out to the nines. In this realm, value takes a backseat to the simple equation of "can it do the task or not," and in that calculus, the HP ZBook X G1i is very good indeed. The only question mark is over the 8GB of VRAM on the discrete GPU, because while it's enough for video editing or other creative tasks, it's nowhere near enough to deal with many of the AI models that you might want to use in the field.

EN→NLThe HP ZBook X G1i really is a wonderful machine – the question should be whether you will maximize its value for your work and your needs. That's because it comes with a weighty near-$4,000 price tag from some vendors (especially if you opt for the 4K resolution version). We would highly recommend this machine if money was no object, and you needed a reliable and powerful machine that can blast through any intensive workloads, from machine learning projects to 3D modeling or CAD. It's really a machine for power users, and a fantastic one at that – but if portability is more of a priority, or a stronger battery life – or you even just need something for more basic tasks – we would consider a cheaper option. That said, for a workstation, you couldn't ask for much more.

Ultra 7 265H: High-end mobiele processor gebaseerd op de Arrow Lake architectuur met 16 cores verdeeld over 3 clusters. De snelle 6 P-cores klokken tot 5,3 GHz. Er zijn ook 8 kleinere E-cores met maximaal 4,5 GHz en 2 kleine energiezuinige cores (zelfde architectuur) met maximaal 2,5 GHz. Er is een kleine NPU geïntegreerd met 13 TOPS piekprestaties en ondersteuning voor vPro Enterprise.
