If your needs are modest, this is a great buy. Otherwise, spend £100 more and you could buy the Chillblast Akira, which has a dedicated graphics card and a Full HD screen.

Office all-rounder. The ProBook 450 G3's assets are found in low temperature development, quiet operating noise, decent input devices, and a good battery life. However, the matte, Full HD screen is a shortcoming. The total bundle is throughout affordable at a price of approximately 640 Euros (~$701). A Windows operating system is not preloaded.

EN→NL Archive.org versionQuite frankly, we weren’t surprised by the ProBook at all since the review of the 14-inch model. Our opinion of the product remains unchanged and it’s mostly positive. We are happy with the build quality, the good choice of materials and overall design. All of this make up for a reliable, sturdy and elegant product which is rarely found in this price range. The chassis also holds four USB ports on top of all other standard connectivity options and, of course, doesn’t lack the much needed good typing experience offering excellent keyboard and touchpad usability.

HP: Het Amerikaanse bedrijf werd opgericht in 1939 en is een belangrijke server- en printerfabrikant en een van de toonaangevende IT-bedrijven ter wereld. Tot 2015 heette het bedrijf Hewlett-Packard Company. Na een splitsing werd de computerdivisie omgedoopt tot HP Inc.
In 2023 had HP een geschat marktaandeel van 22% van de wereldwijde pc-verkoop, waarmee het nummer 2 werd na Lenovo.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
AMD Radeon HD 8750M: Middenklasse grafische kaart gebaseerd op de GCN architectuur.
Intel HD Graphics 520:
Geïntegreerde GPU (GT2) met 24 EU's die aangetroffen wordt in sommige Skylake-CPU's (15-Watt ULV-versies).
NVIDIA GeForce 930MX:
Lagere middenklasse grafische kaart voor laptops, gebaseerd op de GM108 chip. De 930MX is een update van de 930M en ondersteunt nu ook GDDR5 grafisch geheugen.
Intel HD Graphics 620:
Geïntegreerde GPU (GT2) te vinden op sommige Kaby-Lake CPU modellen (ULV 15 W serie).
Intel UHD Graphics 620:
Geïntegreerde GPU (GT2, 24 EU's) die je terugvindt in sommige CPU-modellen van de Kaby Lake-refresh (15-Watt ULV-serie). Technisch identiek aan de vorige Kaby Lake-GPU genaamd HD Graphics 620.
De meeste niet-veeleisende huidige games kunnen vloeiend draaien. Wees voorbereid op verminderde grafische weergave door lage detailinstellingen en lage resoluties. Toch verschaffen deze kaarten voldoende prestatie voor kantoor taken en video bekijken (niet voor HD videos).
Intel HD Graphics 4600: Geïntegreerde processor grafische kaart die je in enkele Haswell CPU modellen aan kunt treffen. Biedt verschillende kloksnelheden afhankelijk van de CPU.
Intel HD Graphics 5500:
Geïntegreerde grafische kaart (GT2) in de Core processors van de Broadwell U-serie (15 W TDP).

Intel Core i5:
3230M: Snelle Ivy Bridge-gebaseerde dual-core met een kloksnelheid van 2.6 GHz tot 3.2 GHz en gekoppeld aan een HD 4000 GPU.
4200M: Haswell-gebaseerde dual-core processor geklokt aan 2.5 GHz met ondersteuning voor Turbo Boost tot en met 3.1 GHz. Beschikt over een geïntegreerde HD Graphics 4600 GPU en een dual-channel DDR3-geheugencontroller.
5200U:
Broadwell-gebaseerde ULV dual-core-CPU voor notebooks en ultrabooks. De chip beschikt over een geïntegreerde HD Graphics 5500 GPU en is gefabriceerd in 14 nm.
Intel Core i7:

Intel Kaby Lake Refresh:
i5-8250U:
Energiezuinige quad-core-processor gebaseerd op de Kaby Lake-refresh. De vier cores zijn geklokt aan 1.6 - 3.4 GHz (Turbo Boost) en ondersteunen HyperThreading. De geïntegreerde GPU is geklokt aan 300 - 1100 MHz. Het SoC is gefabriceerd in een 14nm+ FinFET-proces.
i5-8550U:
Zuinige quad-core-processor gebaseerd op Kaby-Lake-refresh. De vier cores zijn geklokt aan 1.8 tot 4 GHz (Turbo Boost) en ondersteunen HyperThreading. De geïntegreerde GPU is geklokt aan 300 tot 1150 MHz. De SoC is gefabriceerd in een 14nm+ FinFET-proces.

1.95 kg:
Gewoonlijk hebben subnotebooks, ultrabooks en redelijk lichte laptops met een 12-16 inch schermdiagonaal dit gewicht.
2.3 kg:
Dit gewicht is typisch voor laptops met een 14-16 inch schermdiagonaal.
79.9%: Dit cijfer is niet echt overtuigend. Het moet in acht worden genomen dat er bijna geen laptops zijn die een score onder de 60% hebben. Dit notebook is beneden gemiddeld beoordeeld, en is niet aanbevolen te kopen.
