HP Pavilion Gaming 15 in beoordeling: Goedkope gaminglaptop met veel vermogen onder de motorkap

Vol gas. De hardware van het Pavilion (Ryzen 7 4800H, GeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q) brengt alle moderne computerspellen soepel op het 15,6-inch matte scherm (IPS, Full HD, 144 Hz). Deze laatste scoort punten met snelle reactietijden en een goede kleurweergave. Dit wordt aangevuld met een NVMe SSD en 16 GB RAM (dual-channel modus).

De Pavilion Gaming 15 serie staat voor 15,6-inch gaming laptops die een goede prijs-kwaliteitverhouding bieden. We hebben al drie huidige EC-modellen in de serie beoordeeld. We hebben nu de Pavilion Gaming 15-ec1177ng, een van de krachtigste en duurste (ongeveer 1.200 euro (~$1.407)) vertegenwoordigers van de serie. Aan boord zijn eenRyzen 7 4800HAPU eneenGeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q grafische kern. Responstijd Scherm

De responstijden van het scherm tonen hoe snel het scherm in staat is om van één kleur naar de andere te veranderen. Trage responstijden kunnen aanleiding geven tot 'nabeelden' rond bewegende objecten of het scherm wazig maken (blur). Vooral spelers van snelle 3D-games hebben baat bij een scherm met snelle responstijden.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

Om de schermhelderheid te verlagen schakelen sommige laptops het backlight erg snel aan en uit. Dit gebeurt aan een dergelijk hoge frequentie dat het niet zichtbaar is voor het menselijk oog. Als de frequentie te laag is kunnen personen met gevoelige ogen geïrriteerd geraken, hoofdpijn krijgen en zelfs flickering waarnemen.

Ter vergelijking: 51 % van alle geteste toestellen maakten geen gebruik van PWM om de schermhelderheid te verlagen. Als het wel werd gebruikt, werd een gemiddelde van 17520 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 2500000) Hz waargenomen.

Het display toont al een goede kleurweergave uit de doos. Met een Delta E 2000 kleurafwijking van iets minder dan 2,7 wordt het doel (Delta E minder dan 3) gehaald. Het display heeft geen last van een blauwe tint. Bovendien zorgt de kalibratie voor verbeteringen. Zo wordt de kleurafwijking gereduceerd tot 1,7 en worden de grijswaarden evenwichtiger weergegeven. De AdobeRGB (60,3%) en sRGB (92,8%) kleurruimtes wordenniet volledig weergegeven.

Prestaties - Pavilion met ultra-krachtige APU

Met de Pavilion Gaming 15 levert HP een gaming laptop in het 15,6-inch formaat. Het brengt alle moderne computerspellen soepel op het scherm en snijdt, dankzij een zeer sterke CPU, ook een fijn figuur naast het gamen. Ons testapparaat kost iets minder dan 1.200 euro (~1.407 dollar). Bovendien zijn er andere configuratievarianten beschikbaar. De prijzen beginnen bij iets minder dan 700 euro (~$821)

Verwerker

De HP laptop heeft eenRyzen 7 4800H (Renoir) APU aan boord. Het CPU-gedeelte van de APU bestaat uit een octa-core processor die werkt op een basissnelheid van 2,9 GHz. Een verhoging tot 4.2 GHz is mogelijk via Turbo. Simultaan multithreading (twee threads kunnen per kern worden verwerkt) wordt ondersteund

De multithread tests van de Cinebench benchmarks worden uitgevoerd bij 3,7 tot 4,1 GHz (aangesloten) en 3 tot 3,1 GHz (batterijvermogen). De single-thread tests worden verwerkt bij 1,4 tot 4,2 GHz (aangesloten en op batterijvermogen)

DeGeForce GTX 1660 Ti Max-Q grafische kern (Turing) behoort tot het bovenste middengebied. Nvidia geeft voor deze DirectX 12 GPU een snelheidsniveau aan tussen 1.140 MHz (basis) en 1.335 MHz (boost)

Hogere kloksnelheden zijn haalbaar als de GPU een bepaalde temperatuur en/of energiedrempel niet bereikt. Op deze manier registreren we maximaal 1.869 MHz. Bovendien wordt onze The Witcher 3 test uitgevoerd met een gemiddelde snelheid van 1.482 MHz. De GPU kan gebruik maken van het snelle GDDR6 grafische geheugen (6.144 MB)

De resultaten in de 3DMark benchmarks liggen op een normaal niveau voor deze GPU. DeVega 7 De in de processor geïntegreerde GPU is actief en de laptop werkt met Nvidia's Optimus graphics-switching oplossing
