Het scherm heeft een hoge helderheid en dito contrast. Het ondersteunt nu True Tone, net als bij de iPad Pro. De accuduur is lang, met elf uur tijdens browsen. De hardware is snel, gezien de geringe dikte van de laptop. Het toetsenbord moet beter bestand zijn tegen vuil, maar typt nog steeds slecht. Daarnaast is er geen kaartlezer aanwezig en de prijs is ten opzichte van het vorige model met honderd euro gestegen. De beschikbare upgrades kunnen de prijs nog eens doen verdrievoudigen.

Een fantastische laptop. Scherm: prachtig, performance SSD: uitstekend. Een (bekend) probleem met het toetsenbord is door Apple snel en vakkundig verholpen. De enige reden voor 4 ipv 5 sterren: de SSD zijn fixed chips op het mainboard. Niet uitbreidbaar of vervangbaar. Zorg dat je voldoende opslagruimte koopt. Denk je aan een 512GB SSD? Koop voor (ik meen) €400 extra de 1GB SSD.

The fact that the MacBook Pro can accommodate a powerful CPU and GPU without increasing its size or weight -- or affecting battery life -- is no mean feat either. There are few laptops that combine heavyweight performance and lightweight design so effectively, and owners of older MacBook models will certainly view the 2018 15-inch MacBook Pro as a tempting upgrade. If they can afford it, that is.

Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
