If you're after a light and easy-to-carry laptop that still boasts a dedicated GPU and creative capabilities, check out this Swifty. You've got a respectable selection of ports despite the slim design, plus a bright and bold 14-inch display and respectable speakers. The Acer Swift X 14 AI offers enough grunt for photo editing and light video editing, plus some gaming on the side. Battery life is rather good, to keep you powered up for hours on the move. Plus, the backlit keyboard is excellent for touch typing, to help keep you productive on the move. That's the Acer Swift X 14 AI laptop, a solid option for students and creators who are always on the road.

EN→NLAt S$2,999 for our review unit configuration, the Acer Swift X 14 AI does fall on the pricier side, considering that it’s a 14-inch laptop, but its crisp display and respectable performance do help to justify its cost slightly, although glaring feature omissions, such as its main screen lacking support for styluses, and its less than ideal battery life does prevent the device from truly living up to its premium pricepoint. It might be on the pricier side despite a less-than-impressive battery and some feature omissions, but the Acer Swift X 14 AI still stuns as a capable laptop for creators with its crisp OLED touchscreen and powerful hardware.

EN→NLThe Acer Swift X 14 AI is a capable machine with some real trade-offs. It delivers excellent performance, but battery life suffers compared to competitors. It has a beautiful screen, but it’s glossy and prone to reflections. The trackpad is beautiful, but the active pen only works on the trackpad, not the touchscreen. And components like the camera, microphone, and speakers don’t feel like they’re as premium as the rest of the machine. If those trade-offs sound good to you, this machine could be compelling. The combination of raw performance and that beautiful display is tough to argue with, and I’m in love with that trackpad. And, in early 2026 with component prices spiking, the 32GB of RAM and 1TB SSD here feel generous. There are a lot of great laptops in the $1,699 price range, however, so you may want to look around.

Acer: In 1976 werd het bedrijf in Taiwan opgericht onder de naam Multitech en in 1987 omgedoopt tot Acer of Acer Group. Het productassortiment omvat bijvoorbeeld laptops, tablets, smartphones, desktops, monitoren, tv's en computerrandapparatuur. Sinds 2007 is de groep gefuseerd met Gateway Inc. en Packard Bell, die ook hun eigen productlijnen voor laptops op de markt brengen.
Acer computers zijn ontworpen voor verschillende doeleinden, waaronder ultrabooks voor mobiel gebruik, gaming laptops voor gamers, betaalbare opties voor alledaagse taken en 2-in-1 converteerbare laptops voor veelzijdigheid. Het productportfolio van Acer omvat ook tablets die draagbare computer- en multimediamogelijkheden bieden.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
AMD Radeon 880M: Een matig krachtige iGPU met RDNA 3+ architectuur die in juni 2024 op de markt kwam.
Deze middenklasse grafische kaarten kunnen alle huidige spellen vloeiend spelen. Veeleisende spellen kunnen alleen met gemiddelde detail instellingen gespeeld worden.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop: Mobiele mid-range videokaart uit de Blackwell familie gebaseerd op de GB206 chip met 3328 shaders en 8 GB GDDR7 grafisch geheugen (128 bit).

AMD Strix / Gorgon Point:
Ryzen AI 9 365: Een relatief krachtige processor uit de Strix Point familie die in juni 2024 zijn debuut maakte. De Ryzen AI 9-serie APU wordt geleverd met 10 CPU-kernen, de 12 CU RDNA 3+ Radeon 880M grafische adapter en de 50 TOPS XDNA 2 neurale engine. Er is nog steeds geen PCIe 5 ondersteuning en 6 van de CPU-kernen zijn langzamer dan de andere 4.
Ryzen AI 7 350: Een relatief krachtige processor uit de Krackan Point-familie die begin 2025 werd geïntroduceerd. De APU bevat 8 CPU-kernen (4 Zen 5-kernen met maximaal 5 GHz en 4 Zen 5c-kernen met maximaal 3,5 GHz).
Intel Arrow Lake:
Ultra 7 255H: High-end mobiele processor gebaseerd op de Arrow Lake architectuur met 16 cores verdeeld over 3 clusters. De snelle 6 P-cores klokken tot 5,1 GHz. Er zijn ook 8 kleinere E-cores met maximaal 4,4 GHz en 2 kleine energiezuinige cores (zelfde architectuur) met maximaal 2,5 GHz. Er is een kleine NPU geïntegreerd met 13 TOPS piekprestaties en ondersteuning voor vPro Essentials.
