So, overall, is the Realme 16 Pro Plus a good phone for the price? And more importantly, is it the best phone under INR 40,000 (NPR 63,000) right now? And my answer is – It’s difficult for me to give this phone an easy recommendation. Coz in the last couple of months, the price of phones has increased, and that amount is quite a lot of money for a phone like Realme 16 Pro+, to be very honest. If this phone were priced around INR 32,000 to INR 35,000 (NPR 50,000 to NPR 55,000), it would have been a no-brainer recommendation. It would have been a very balanced phone. At INR 40,000 (NPR 63,000), many strong phones exist. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE offers decent battery life, a cleaner One UI, and better cameras. The Nothing Phone (3), in the INR 40,000–45,000 range, is also a solid choice, noting improved cameras after updates.

Unfortunately, the cameras and battery life come at a price premium. At least at launch, the Realme 16 Pro+ is a bit too pricey and ships with 128GB base storage. So, in case you are not into mobile photography that much, but value raw performance and charging speed highly, there are more sensible solutions at a much lower price. At least until Realme's price settles to more palatable levels.

Instead of chasing raw performance or spec-heavy competition, it focuses on content creation, battery life, and design, and that direction is clearly visible in the overall experience. The camera setup is one of its biggest highlights. With dual 50 MP Sony cameras, a selfie mirror, and a soft ring light, realme is offering something genuinely different in this segment. The phone is well-suited for users who spend a lot of time on social media, taking portraits, or creating short-form content. Another standout aspect is the massive 7,000 mAh battery packed into a slim and lightweight body. Despite housing a large 7,000 mAh battery, the phone maintains a slim profile at around 8.1 mm thickness and 183 grams weight with a clean horizontal camera layout, making it one of the few devices to offer what realme calls the “Slimmest Air Design with a 7000mAh Battery under ₹30K.”

Realme:

De meeste niet-veeleisende huidige games kunnen vloeiend draaien. Wees voorbereid op verminderde grafische weergave door lage detailinstellingen en lage resoluties. Toch verschaffen deze kaarten voldoende prestatie voor kantoor taken en video bekijken (niet voor HD videos).

ARM Mali-G615 MP2: Grafische chip voor smartphones in het middensegment met 2 van de 6 mogelijke kernen. Gebaseerd op de vierde generatie Valhall-architectuur. Biedt schaduw met variabele snelheid.

Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

Qualcomm Adreno 722: Een iGPU met relatief hoge prestaties voor Android tablets, telefoons en handhelds die samen met de Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC debuteerde en beschikt over een onbekend, vanaf augustus 2025, aantal unified shaders.

Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd. Voor kantoor, internet, beeldcorrectie- en videomonteringswerk zijn deze grafische chips nog steeds bruikbaar zonder enige beperkingen.
