De hamvraag is natuurlijk of de Nokia 7 plus de moeite waard is. Is het een toestel dat zakelijk doelen kan dienen, of is het toch een niemendalletje dat we beter zo snel mogelijk kunnen vergeten? Het antwoord op dat laatste is nee. De Nokia 7 plus is, voor de 370 euro die je ervoor betaalt, een prima toestel dat waarde biedt voor zijn geld. Hij is snel, heeft voldoende geheugen en biedt de veiligheid waar je op hoopt voor een zakelijke telefoon. Goed, Nokia heeft geen extra’s toegevoegd om de telefoon extra te beveiligen, maar het feit dat het een Android One-telefoon is, blijft een groot pluspunt. Dat de telefoon het een hele dag volhoudt is natuurlijk ook mooi.

Na ruim een week dit toestel in gebruik te hebben kan ik zeggen dat de Nokia 7 Plus er in het middensegment momenteel uitspringt op het gebied van prijs/kwaliteit-verhouding. Je hebt met de Nokia 7 Plus namelijk een degelijk toestel in handen die makkelijk 1,5 dag op een acculading te gebruiken is. Met de Nokia 7 Plus heb je ook standaard Android en daardoor ben je verzekerd van snelle updates en weinig of geen bloatware. Daarnaast zorgen de Snapdragon 660 en 4GB RAM ervoor dat je vrijwel zonder haperingen op het toestel kunt multitasken. Het geluid en sommige functies van de camera presteren gemiddeld maar zeker voldoende in deze prijsklasse. Voor sommigen zou de afwezigheid van gezichtsherkenning nog een dealbreaker kunnen zijn. Er is dan wel weer een 3.5mm koptelefoonaansluiting.

Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd.
