De OPPO R15 heeft de hardware goed voor elkaar. Het scherm, de camera, de snelheid, de bouwkwaliteit, de speaker: het is allemaal meer dan prima. De telefoon gaat echter op twee punten de mist in: de software en de prijs. De software werkt je eerder tegen dan mee, vooral op het gebied van notificaties. Hier zal OPPO een boel moeten verfijnen door middel van updates. De prijs van 649 euro is een dikke 80 euro hoger voor de 128GB variant van de OnePlus 6. Deze telefoon is zo goed als identiek, heeft wel fijne software en is sneller in gebruik. Tenzij je een selfiecamera en zeer lange accuduur belangrijk vindt, dan zul je aan de OPPO een goede hebben. Voor alle andere mensen: bespaar die 80 euro en ga voor de OnePlus.

At 3,299 yuan (~$520) for the Ruby Red model and 3,499 yuan (~$555) for the Infinity Black, it’s hard to whole-heartedly recommend the Oppo R15 Pro. OnePlus will announce the OnePlus 6 soon. It will have much of the same body and likely fix many of my gripes with this thing. Beyond that, it will almost certainly be priced less the R15 Pro, which makes it a no-brainer compared to this model.

If you decide you’re not bothered about updates though, then the R15 Pro is a well built and delivered phone. While we’ve taken issue with Color OS in the past, and continue to find some quirks with the way it implements some things, on this device it seems to deliver most of what we expect in an Android phone – its something you could learn to live with if you’re coming from a more standard Android platform. There’s great specs and a decent mid-range camera on offer, making it a typical – but pricey – Oppo smartphone.

Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd. Voor kantoor, internet, beeldcorrectie- en videomonteringswerk zijn deze grafische chips nog steeds bruikbaar zonder enige beperkingen.

Grote schermformaten laten hogere resoluties toe. Details zoals letters zijn groter. Anderzijds is het energieverbruik lager bij kleine schermdiagonalen en de toestellen zijn kleiner, lichter en goedkoper.
