Door de keuze voor meer efficiëntere hardware heeft MSI een gaming laptop afgeleverd die je een stuk makkelijker mee de deur uit kan nemen. De accu gaat lekker lang mee, de oplader is compact en je kan alsnog genieten van een heerlijke performance tijdens het gamen. Wel is de MSI Cyborg 15 redelijk duur ten opzichte van de concurrentie, met een prijskaartje van 1299 euro. Die hadden wij liever iets lager gezien of anders een paneel met accuratere kleuren. Maar als je op zoek bent naar een gaming laptop die ook ideaal onderweg is te gebruiken, dan is de MSI Cyborg 15 één van de beste opties.

While maintaining an affordable price tag, gaming laptops are forced to have their compromise parts. MSI Cyborg 15 is not without them either. However, here the manufacturer has managed to maintain a good balance of good and compromise parts. At the same time, the model also offers original external elements that should be of interest to cyberpunk fans. Such a laptop should also be enough for work and entertainment, of course, if you don't expect ultra-high FPS performance in top games and are meticulous about every detail. So if you're looking to buy an inexpensive gaming laptop, the MSI Cyborg 15 is a good choice.

MSI Cyborg 15 (A12V) review – there is so much power in its tiny 45W GPU

At the beginning of this review, we questioned MSI’s claims that this laptop is going to be groundbreaking and impressive. To be fair, the notebook is pretty good for what it is. The 45W RTX 4050 really can’t hold a candle to the 85W one of the MSI Katana 15. However, it is pretty good at games, and at this moment in time, when laptops with RTX 4000 are still young, the Cyborg 15 (A12V) does seem like a good purchase. MSI Cyborg 15 (A12V)’s IPS panel has a Full HD resolution, comfortable viewing angles, and a good contrast ratio. It doesn’t use PWM for brightness adjustment, but unfortunately, it covers only 54% of the sRGB color gamut. Also, its pixel response time is a bit slow, which doesn’t bode well with the fast refresh rate of 144Hz. Unfortunately, the battery life is not stellar. We got about 5 hours of Web browsing, or 4 hours and 30 minutes of video playback. After all, this is 2023 and gaming laptops are no longer sick of the limited battery life disease. On the bright side, the laptop offers two SODIMM slots for memory expansion.

NVIDIA NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU: High-end grafische kaart voor laptops gebaseerd op de Ada Lovelace-architectuur. Biedt 8 GB GDDR6 (128 Bit) en is configureerbaar met een TGP van 35 - 115 W (+ Dynamic Boost).

Deze grafische kaarten zouden de meeste moderne spellen op een hoge resolutie en hoge details moeten kunnen draaien (enkele uitzonderingen zijn mogelijk).

Op Alder Lake gebaseerde mobiele CPU met 6 prestatiekernen en 4 efficiencykernen. De prestatiekernen bieden hyper threading, wat leidt tot 16 verwerkbare threads. De processor draait op frequenties van 1,7 tot 4,7 GHz en ondersteunt vPro.
