Kopers die geen waarde hechten aan de prestige van een iPad Mini 3 of de 'coolness' van een Nexus 9 zullen Lenovo's tablet aantrekkelijk vinden. De Tab S8 biedt namelijk een scherp Full HD-scherm, fatsoenlijke camera uitrusting, luidsprekers die een relatief rijk geluid produceren, krachtige prestaties en een bruikbare batterijduur. Het is echter verrassend dat Lenovo's Tab S8 op sommige vlakken zelfs veel beter presteert dan duurdere modellen van Apple en Google.

De tablet heeft ten eerste een erg goede prijs/prestatieverhouding en verdient onze aankoop aanbeveling. Wel moet de gebruiker genoegen nemen met een scherm dat geen erg stevige indruk maakt en waar een aantal scherpe randjes aan zitten; ook zijn de Wi-Fi en GPS ontvangst niet bijzonder sterk. Wie daar geen problemen mee heeft, kan zonder meer genieten van dit goed ontworpen alternatief voor de bekende namen.
