De Huawei MatePad Pro Max is een hoogwaardige 13,2-inch tablet die in de eerste plaats is ontworpen voor kunstenaars en andere creatieve gebruikers. Het 3000 x 2000 OLED-scherm, de verversingssnelheid van 144 Hz, de smalle randen en de optionele PaperMatte-afwerking worden alom geprezen. Ondanks een dikte van slechts 4,7 mm beschikt het apparaat over 12 GB werkgeheugen, tot 512 GB opslagruimte en een batterij van 9760 mAh, terwijl het slechts 509 g weegt. De Kirin 9030 Pro-processor levert degelijke algemene prestaties, hoewel de Maleoon 935 grafische oplossing niet toonaangevend is. Recensenten prijzen ook de bouwkwaliteit, het geluid, de draagbaarheid, de ervaring met de stylus en de toetsenbordaccessoires. HarmonyOS mist echter Google-diensten, het apparaat is nog steeds geen praktische vervanging voor een laptop en de prijs van € 1.099 doet afbreuk aan de prijs-kwaliteitverhouding ten opzichte van oudere Huawei-tablets en alternatieven van Apple.

The screen is gorgeous, the speakers are amazing, it’s impossibly slim, and the accessories are among the best around. The Huawei MatePad Pro Max is here and -- EXCEPT FOR THE SILICON -- it is the absolute best tablet hardware I've ever seen or tested. The tablet brings a 13.2-inch flexible OLED display with the thinnest bezels among tablets, and the display has an anti-reflective matte texture on the surface. The entire tablet measures just 4.7mm thick and weighs 509g, or about 1.1lbs. The Huawei Glide Keyboard is also thin, has spacious keys, and stores the stylus in a clever hidden compartment. It's the best looking and best designed tablet on the market by far in my opinion. The only area where this tablet is not class-leading is the silicon.

Qualcomm Maleoon 935: Grafische chip voor smartphones en tablets, geïntegreerd in de HiSilicon Kirin 9020. Helaas geeft Huawei geen gedetailleerde informatie. Wat wel zeker is, is dat het geen hardware-gebaseerde ray tracing ondersteunt en alleen de oudere Vulkan 1.0 standaard.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
