Since pre-orders opened for Rockstar’s latest crime adventure, marketing has been in a lull. However, insider Jez Corden hinted that PlayStation still has massive plans to promote the GTA 6 PS5 release. The insider learned that Sony is spending an “absolutely mind-blowing amount of money.”

The Windows Central lead editor made the comments on a podcast, as anticipation for GTA 6 trailer #3 grows. He wouldn’t share the number of dollars that Sony has invested in the platform-specific campaign. Nevertheless, following a pause, fans could soon witness more evidence of its partnership with Rockstar.

PlayStation celebrated the start of pre-orders with a “plays best on PS5” blog and social media posts. Previous videos were also recorded on the console, irking some Xbox loyalists. Critics noted how Microsoft’s response paled in comparison, a disparity that Corden discussed.

The journalist doesn’t expect many Xbox owners to purchase the rival system. Nevertheless, if GTA 6 PS5 Pro enhancements deliver performance benefits, it will attract buyers. Console bundles are another possible pre-release date announcement.

GTA 6 Trailer #3 speculation continues

Rockstar almost certainly has reveals aimed at all audiences. Other recent leaks suggest that gameplay footage will premiere ahead of the August 7th Take-Two earnings call. Tom Henderson of Insider Gaming picked August 6th as the key date to watch for a trailer. Reliable source NateTheHate also said that gamers will see a “fair bit” of the title during the month.
