Dell is een van de weinige fabrikanten die grote multimedia-laptops zonder speciale grafische kaarten aanbieden. Als u niet geïnteresseerd bent in gaming, kunt u nog steeds een high-end multimedia-laptop krijgen voor een lagere prijs. Echter, zelfs het basismodel XPS 17 9700 met de kleine Core i5 is allesbehalve goedkoop.

Combine this with the fact that that said display can run at 600 nits of maximum brightness and you can barely notice there are any bezels around it. However, as with the 15-inch model, there is something fundamentally wrong with Dell’s offering. And you have guessed it right – the base version of the device. You just can’t offer a Core i5-10300H model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage (no matter how fast it is) and put it at $1450. And if you want to get the next option, which includes the more powerful Core i7-10750H and the GTX 1650 Ti, you need to spend $600 more (yet you get double the memory and the storage). And things really get out of control if you want the 4K display, which will set you back a total of $2900.

Intel UHD Graphics 630:
Geïntegreerde GPU (GT2) met 24 EU's, te vinden in sommige Coffee-Lake CPU-modellen (mobiel en desktop). Vergelijkbaar met de oude HD Graphics 630 die in Kaby-Lake CPU's zit.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

i5-10300H:
Op Comet Lake architectuur (4e gen van Skylake) gebaseerde processor voor grote en zware laptops. Integreert vier processorkernen geklokt op 2,5 - 4,5 GHz (4,2 GHz met 4 kernen) die HyperThreading ondersteunen.
