Oud aan de buitenkant, nieuw aan de binnenkant. Dell heeft de Inspiron 13 5379 een upgrade gegeven met Intel's 8e generatie Kaby Lake processor. Dit is echter de enige noemenswaardige verandering. If you are willing to put up with short battery life, then we’d urge you to spend $50 on the entry-level Inspiron 13 7000 and its all-aluminum enclosure. There are, however, better options than either of Dell’s 13-inch convertibles. Each costs considerably more, but we like the HP Spectre x360 13 and the Lenovo Yoga 920 best among 13-inch 2-in-1 convertibles. And if your budget won’t allow for a four-figure purchase, then we recommend the Asus Transformer Pro T304UA or the Lenovo Yoga 720$849.99 at Lenovo.

Intel UHD Graphics 620:
Geïntegreerde GPU (GT2, 24 EU's) die je terugvindt in sommige CPU-modellen van de Kaby Lake-refresh (15-Watt ULV-serie). Technisch identiek aan de vorige Kaby Lake-GPU genaamd HD Graphics 620.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.

i5-8250U:
Energiezuinige quad-core-processor gebaseerd op de Kaby Lake-refresh. De vier cores zijn geklokt aan 1.6 - 3.4 GHz (Turbo Boost) en ondersteunen HyperThreading. De geïntegreerde GPU is geklokt aan 300 - 1100 MHz. Het SoC is gefabriceerd in een 14nm+ FinFET-proces.
