EN→NL Archive.org versionThere's not a huge price break between the G3 and G5, but it's enough that you could put it toward adding more storage or memory (both are easily accessible for you to upgrade) or picking up a good gaming mouse. The G3 is thinner and lighter than the G5, too, and its design is a little less "gamer" as well. Also, if you're not buying right now, this is one you'll want to keep an eye on for discounts down the road.

It has solid performance paired with a great gaming utility on top of awesome battery life for a gaming laptop. It does, however, have a superdull display. If you still want a cheap gaming laptop but don't want to sacrifice the display, go with the Dell G5 15 SE ($1,068). This model offers the same great performance and slightly better battery life along with a much better display. But overall, the G3 15 is the cheap gaming laptop to get if you're on a tight budget.

EN→NL Archive.org versionI have no major complaints about the Dell G3 15, except for a dull display. I wish Dell had worked a bit more on improving the display. That said, I still think the G3 is really a laptop designed for those new to PC gaming. Where I think the Dell G3 earns points is how it successfully manages to offer a near-desktop-quality gaming experience in a laptop form factor. If you are okay with an AMD processor, then you can go with Asus ROG Zephyrus G and it will be as good as any other gaming laptop in this price segment. Not only does it offers a 120Hz display, but you also get 16GB RAM and better design. The ROG Zephyrus G will set you back by Rs 82,990.

The display is slightly underwhelming, the keyboard is good but with some smaller keys like the arrows, and the biggest factor to consider is price. In India, the variant of the Dell G3 we were sent for review retails for around Rs. 90,000. For that price, you can find something more powerful in terms of a better GPU, or if you want similar specs, options from Asus or MSI are priced much lower for the same hardware.

Dell: Dell is een Amerikaanse fabrikant (gevestigd in Texas) van computerhardware, opgericht in 1984 en is een van de grootste internationale fabrikanten, zowel qua marktaandeel als qua notebookmodellen. De productlijn omvat desktops, notebooks, opslagsystemen, monitors, servers, printers, consumentenelektronica en randapparatuur. Dell biedt laptops die geschikt zijn voor verschillende toepassingen, zoals zakelijke laptops, gaming laptops, ultra portables en werkstations. De zakelijke laptops uit de Latitude en Precision series van Dell zijn een optie voor professionele gebruikers en bedrijven.
In 2023 had Dell een marktaandeel van ongeveer 17% in de wereldwijde verkoop van pc's en stond daarmee op de derde plaats, na Lenovo en HP.
Voor gameliefhebbers is er Dell's Alienware merk voor gaming notebooks.
Deze middenklasse grafische kaarten kunnen alle huidige spellen vloeiend spelen. Veeleisende spellen kunnen alleen met gemiddelde detail instellingen gespeeld worden.

Mid-range discrete grafische kaart voor laptops gebaseerd op de GTX 1660 Ti voor desktops en dus de Turing-architectuur zonder ray-tracing en Tensor-cores. De prestaties van de Max-P-variant zouden vergelijkbaar moeten zijn met die van een oudere GTX 1070.

Op Coffee Lake-architectuur gebaseerde processor voor grote en zware laptops. Integreert vier processor-cores geklokt aan 2,4 - 4,1 GHz (4 GHz met 4 cores) die HyperThreading ondersteunen. Vervaardigd in een verbeterd 14nm-proces (14nm++).

Dit gewicht is typisch voor laptops met een 14-16 inch schermdiagonaal.

79.33%: Dit cijfer is niet echt overtuigend. Het moet in acht worden genomen dat er bijna geen laptops zijn die een score onder de 60% hebben. Dit notebook is beneden gemiddeld beoordeeld, en is niet aanbevolen te kopen.
