Het voordeel van deze laptop vind ik dat er 2 gewone usb 3 poorten aanwezig zijn alsmede een micro sd-card reader en ook 1 usb-c poort. De meeste dunnere/lichtere Asus laptops met flip functie hebben alleen 2 usb-c poorten. Dan moet ik weer slepen met een usb-hub.

Prachtig scherm, de nieuwere hebben ook een nieuwe generatie processor maar daar wilde ik niet op wachten, ik heb een i5-1135G en die is prima instaat voor het gebruik wat ik hiermee heb. Ik heb deze gekocht als 'nieuwe' iPad, want die zijn me te duur geworden (Deze laptop is inmiddels veel duurder, ik betaalde ~950), ten tijde van black friday 2022. Was niet echt een aanbieding, maar ik heb hem inmiddels dus een maandje of 4. De bouwkwaliteit is uitstekend, de katten hebben hem helaas al van een kastje gegooid toen ik hem daar niet goed op had neergelegd, dat geeft een deukje. Geweldig apparaat, al moet ik wennen aan Windows (lang niet gebruikt op een daily driver) maar dat lukt vast wel. Soms detecteert ie het omvouwen bijna goed, en wordt shift permanent ingedrukt. Even terugklappen lost dit op. Ook geeft de MyAsus app altijd een melding dat ie niet werkt in tablet modus, vervelend. Powerbrick vind ik wat groot om mee te nemen, maar hij laadt via usb-c en de accu gaat best lang mee - al heeft het scherm een hoge resolutie en is het oled - en verbruikt daar relatief veel stroom mee.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. is een grote Taiwanese fabrikant van computerhardware gevestigd in Taipei, opgericht in 1989. Onder de merknaam Asus produceert het bedrijf een breed scala aan producten, waaronder laptops, desktops, moederborden, grafische kaarten, monitoren, smartphones en netwerkapparatuur, complete systemen en pc-onderdelen voor eindgebruikers.
Onder de merknaam ROG (Republic of Gamers) produceert ASUS gaming laptops die bij gamers bekend staan om hun krachtige specificaties, speciale grafische kaarten, schermen met hoge verversingssnelheid en geavanceerde koelsystemen.
Naast gaming wordt een breed scala aan notebooks aangeboden voor verschillende behoeften en budgetten, van ultraslanke en lichtgewicht ultrabooks tot veelzijdige 2-in-1 convertibles en budgetvriendelijke opties. In 2023 had Asus wereldwijd een marktaandeel van 7% op de pc-markt.

Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
