Archive.org versionVoor je werkzaamheden is een laptop vandaag de dag een must. Op die markt heb je veel keuze in verschillende prijscategorieën. Met de ASUS Vivobook S15 S532FL heeft ASUS een laptop die in het middensegment valt qua prijs, maar waar je wel heel erg veel mee kunt. Het is een laptop die voorzien is van een 15,6 inch beeldscherm met een Full HD-resolutie. Met een Core i7 processor, de mogelijkheid om hem uit te breiden tot 16 GB RAM en een Geforce MX 250 videokaart is hij van alle markten thuis. Ik ben een tijdje met de laptop aan de slag gegaan en was behoorlijk tevreden.

It's much improved compared to the first-gen version, but still has some quirks. It doesn't really have any killer app either – there aren't any situations that hugely benefit from having it. Still, it's very cool and it feels futuristic while being much less disruptive than the massive ScreenPad+ second screen on the ZenBook Duo (UX481).

If you want a laptop with the latest Intel processor and don’t want to pay more than Rs 70,000, this is one of the options to consider.

Archive.org versionValt mij erg tegen om een product van Asus te configureren of op te zoeken, keuze is zo groot dat ik vrij lang aan het uitsluiten geweest ben, wat bij mij past. Uiteindelijk wilde ik graag een redelijk grote SSD, liefst met een I5 of I7 gecombineerd met genoeg intern geheugen ( 16 gb) om toekomst bestendig te zijn. Nu eerste dag ervaring, screenpad is een leuke gadget maar, hadden ze 1 zonder met I5/16 gig/ 512gb voor een nette prijs aangeboden dan had ik die genomen.

Asus: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. is een grote Taiwanese fabrikant van computerhardware gevestigd in Taipei, opgericht in 1989. Onder de merknaam Asus produceert het bedrijf een breed scala aan producten, waaronder laptops, desktops, moederborden, grafische kaarten, monitoren, smartphones en netwerkapparatuur, complete systemen en pc-onderdelen voor eindgebruikers.
Onder de merknaam ROG (Republic of Gamers) produceert ASUS gaming laptops die bij gamers bekend staan om hun krachtige specificaties, speciale grafische kaarten, schermen met hoge verversingssnelheid en geavanceerde koelsystemen.
Naast gaming wordt een breed scala aan notebooks aangeboden voor verschillende behoeften en budgetten, van ultraslanke en lichtgewicht ultrabooks tot veelzijdige 2-in-1 convertibles en budgetvriendelijke opties. In 2023 had Asus wereldwijd een marktaandeel van 7% op de pc-markt.
De klanttevredenheid over ASUS-notebooks heeft betrekking op de prestaties, de functies en de goede prijs-prestatieverhouding van ASUS-notebooks. Zoals bij elk merk zijn er echter af en toe meldingen van problemen zoals oververhitting, drivercompatibiliteit of problemen met de bouwkwaliteit.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
NVIDIA GeForce MX250:
Opvolger van de MX150 en nog altijd gebaseerd op dezelfde Pascal GP108-chip (vergelijkbaar met de GT 1030 voor desktops) maar met hogere kloksnelheden. Verkrijgbaar in twee versies, een normale 25 Watt-versie en een energiezuinige versie met een TDP van 10 Watt en verminderde prestaties. De 25 Watt-versie biedt o.a. een 21% hogere boost-kloksnelheid dan de oude MX150, met als gevolg een prestatiewienst van 5%.
NVIDIA GeForce MX150:
Pascal GP108-gebaseerde grafische kaart voor laptops en laptop-versie van de GeForce GT 1030 voor desktops. Biedt 384 shader-cores en meestal 2 GB GDDR5 met een 64-bit-geheugenbus. Gefabriceerd in 14nm.
Intel UHD Graphics 620:
Geïntegreerde GPU (GT2, 24 EU's) die je terugvindt in sommige CPU-modellen van de Kaby Lake-refresh (15-Watt ULV-serie). Technisch identiek aan de vorige Kaby Lake-GPU genaamd HD Graphics 620.

i7-8565U:
Whiskey Lake-gebaseerde energie-efficiënte quad-core-processor (technisch identiek aan Kaby Lake, maar geproduceerd in een verder geoptimaliseerd 14nm++ proces). De vier cores zijn geklokt tussen 1.8 en 4.6 GHz (Turbo Boost) en ondersteunen HyperThreading.

Comet Lake-gebaseerde energie-efficiënte quad-core-processor (technisch identiek aan Whiskey Lake en nog altijd geproduceerd in 14nm++). De CPU-cores kunnen klokken tussen 1.8 en 4.9 GHz (alle 4 cores 4.3 GHz max.) met HyperThreading (8 threads). De geïntegreerde geheugencontroller ondersteunt DDR4-2666 en met cTDP up/down kunnen de prestaties door de fabrikant aangepast worden (10 - 25 Watt mogelijk, 15 Watt standaard).

Dit gewicht is typisch voor erg grote tablets, subnotebooks, ultrabooks en convertibles met een 11-13 inch schermdiagonaal.
1.8 kg:
Gewoonlijk hebben subnotebooks, ultrabooks en redelijk lichte laptops met een 12-16 inch schermdiagonaal dit gewicht.
