The cooling is massive and this results in high CPU and GPU clocks and power limits during gaming or 3D rendering. If you need the full power of the laptop, you have to apply the “Turbo” mode that comes with a “bonus” – high noise levels. That seems like the main con of this device. Still, the “Performance” preset offers acceptable performance and the fans don’t spin that aggressively. The 1200p IPS display (CSOT MNG007QA1-1 (CSW1639)) is a good choice for gaming. It boasts a 165Hz refresh rate, fast pixel response times (for an IPS screen), and 95% sRGB coverage. Thanks to our “Design and Gaming” profile, the color accuracy reaches an average dE value of just 0.9 and this allows you to use the machine for professional color-sensitive work or content creation.

EN→NLAs per ASUS, there is a continuous demand for entry-to-mid level gaming laptops in the Indian market. While that makes the trimmed-down TUF Gaming F16 a welcome addition, it is positioned in a very awkward spot. The company launched the laptop at a very similar price as its fairly new Gaming V16, at Rs 80,990 only to eventually cut it down to Rs 76,990. Now that’s telling something. On its own, the laptop should be good for most of your daily tasks, including video playback and streaming, school or office work, and even some basic multimedia editing. The GPU is quite underwhelming and will be a lot more suitable for esports titles rather than games with demanding visuals. In comparison, the Acer Nitro V and even the ASUS Gaming V16 seem to offer a much better package, although the latter is priced a tad bit higher at Rs 82,990.

EN→NLThe new 2025 model year of ASUS TUF Gaming F16 (FX608JH) can be had for RM5,799 right now, which is quite a bit pricey considering it only gets the lowest-end RTX GPU of the Blackwell generation. We don’t know if that’s just NVIDIA GPUs getting pricier as time goes by or other factors at play, but in any case, this is a decent gaming laptop to go for if you want something more pleasant to daily drive.

Onder de merknaam ROG (Republic of Gamers) produceert ASUS gaming laptops die bij gamers bekend staan om hun krachtige specificaties, speciale grafische kaarten, schermen met hoge verversingssnelheid en geavanceerde koelsystemen.
Naast gaming wordt een breed scala aan notebooks aangeboden voor verschillende behoeften en budgetten, van ultraslanke en lichtgewicht ultrabooks tot veelzijdige 2-in-1 convertibles en budgetvriendelijke opties. In 2023 had Asus wereldwijd een marktaandeel van 7% op de pc-markt.
De klanttevredenheid over ASUS-notebooks heeft betrekking op de prestaties, de functies en de goede prijs-prestatieverhouding van ASUS-notebooks. Zoals bij elk merk zijn er echter af en toe meldingen van problemen zoals oververhitting, drivercompatibiliteit of problemen met de bouwkwaliteit.
Deze middenklasse grafische kaarten kunnen alle huidige spellen vloeiend spelen. Veeleisende spellen kunnen alleen met gemiddelde detail instellingen gespeeld worden.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 A Laptop GPU: Grafische kaart voor gaminglaptops in het middensegment, gebaseerd op de nieuwe Ada Lovelace AD107- of AD106-chip (zoals de RTX 4060), maar met een sterk gereduceerd aantal kernen (slechts 1.792) en een kleine geheugenbus (64 Bit).
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop: Instap grafische kaart uit de Blackwell-familie voor Latpops met 2.560 unified shaders (CUDA-kernen) en een kloksnelheid van 1500 - 2662 MHz, afhankelijk van de TDP-instelling. Volgens Nvidia zouden de prestaties zonder DLSS en framegeneratie vergelijkbaar moeten zijn met een RTX 4060.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden de meeste moderne spellen op een hoge resolutie en hoge details moeten kunnen draaien (enkele uitzonderingen zijn mogelijk).
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop: Mobiele mid-range videokaart uit de Blackwell familie gebaseerd op de GB206 chip met 3328 shaders en 8 GB GDDR7 grafisch geheugen (128 bit).

Intel Raptor Lake-HX:
i7-13650HX: Mobiele CPU op basis van de Raptor Lake-serie met 14 cores (6 prestatie-, 8 efficiëntiekernen) die klokken tot 4,9 GHz (P-cores) of 3,6 GHz (E-cores).
i5-13450HX: Mobiele CPU gebaseerd op de Raptor Lake-serie die 10 kernen biedt (6 prestatie-, 4 efficiëntiekernen) en geklokt is tot 4,6 GHz.
i7-14650HX: High-end mobiele hybride processor op basis van de Raptor Lake architectuur met 16 cores (8 prestatie- en 8 efficiëntiekernen) en 24 threads. Gebaseerd op de Raptor Lake S 13700K chip.
Intel Raptor Lake-H:
Core 5 210H: Op Alder Lake gebaseerde mobiele CPU met 4 prestatie-kernen en 4 efficiënte kernen. De prestatie-kernen bieden hyper-threading, waardoor er 12 verwerkingsthreads zijn. De CPU draait op maximaal 4,8 GHz.
