Een universele alleskunner in zeer mobiele uitvoering. Het is een fantastische mediaplayer en communicator waar je, al is het met Windows Vista wat traag, ook nog pc-taken op kunt uitvoeren. Voor deze unieke combinatie van vorm en functie moet helaas wel flink betaald worden. Wij vinden dat er voor deze prijs wel een snellere ssd in zou mogen zitten en raden aan te wachten op Windows 7.

 Sony doesn't do netbooks, but if it did the Vaio P would be one. It is small and neat. It weighs just 0.6kg and it measures 245 x 120 x 19.8mm. Picture those measurements in your mind and you'll visualise a wide, thin notebook, which is precisely what the Vaio P is. Sony's Vaio P is a stunning looking piece of kit. But we aren't so sure about its capabilities or its value for money. Neither cheap enough to compete with netbooks nor efficient enough to compete with notebooks, it is difficult to see where it really fits in.

Sony has a habit of differentiating itself from the competition by creating unique devices, and the Vaio P-Series is no exception. Unveiled in January at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the tiny but fully functional device sits somewhere between a netbook and an ultra-portable laptop. Sony wowed the crowds at CES this year when it unveiled the Vaio P-Series, a fully fledged netbook that could just about fit into your back pocket. As technically impressive as it is, the hefty price tag and several shortfalls means it struggles to live up to its shining entrance.

Intel Graphics Media Accelerator (GMA) 500: Geïntegreerde (onboard) videokaart op de UL11L, US15L en US15W chipsets met een gelicensieerde PowerVR SGX core. DirectX 10.1 ondersteuning, maar door de lage kloksnelheden (100-200 MHz UL11L-US15) en maar 4 shaders is hij niet geschikt voor 3D games. De geïntegreerde video decodeerder versnelt het afspelen van HD video’s (MPEG2, VC-1, AVC).

Deze grafische kaarten voor notebooks zijn niet bruikbaar voor games. Als ze al games kunnen draaien, dan doen ze dat met grafische afwijkingen en heel lage framesnelheid. Voor gamers zijn deze chips ongeschikt! Kantoor en internet taken zijn, daarentegen, geen probleem voor deze GPUs.

Z520: Energie efficiënte single core CPU met erg lage prestaties. Heeft meer functies (stroombesparing, VT-x) dan de N serie Atoms.
