De meeste ThinkPad X1 2-in-1-modellen uit 2026 hebben een lagere grafische prestatie dan de ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 uit 2025, vanwege de manier waarop de Panther Lake-serie is opgezet.

Lenovo levert nu zijn 2026 ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 11 convertible om het model uit 2025 (Gen 10). De CPU-upgrade van Intel Lunar Lake naar Panther Lake is een belangrijk verschil tussen de twee modellen, aangezien het laatste model, afhankelijk van de configuratie, aanzienlijk sneller is. Voor liefhebbers van hoge prestaties springt echter slechts één configuratie eruit, en dat is tevens de duurste van het hele assortiment.

De nieuwe ThinkPad kan worden geconfigureerd met Core Ultra 5 325, Ultra 5 335, Ultra 7 355, Ultra 7 365, Ultra 7 366H, of Ultra X7 368H. Alle opties zijn uitgerust met in wezen dezelfde geïntegreerde Xe3-GPU , met uitzondering van de Ultra X7, die is uitgerust met de geïntegreerde Arc B390is uitgerust. Zoals reeds in veel van onze eerdere reviews is beschreven, zijn de grafische prestaties van Panther Lake vrij zwak totdat u de Arc B390 bereikt; vanaf dat moment schieten de prestaties omhoog tot wel 2,5 keer sneller, zoals blijkt uit onze vergelijkingstabellen hieronder.

De Xe3 iGPU in Panther Lake is zo traag dat zelfs de Lunar Lake Arc 140V in de oudere ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 10 beter presteert dan bijna alle SKU’s van de nieuwere ThinkPad X1 2-in-1 Gen 11.

ThinkPad-systemen met de Core Ultra X7 en Arc B390 zijn niet per se goedkoop, en liefhebbers van hoge prestaties moeten er dan ook rekening mee houden dat zij ongeveer 3000 dollar of meer voor een dergelijk systeem moeten betalen. Een dergelijke configuratie zou echter zonder meer een van de snelste ThinkPads zijn die in de 14-inch-categorie verkrijgbaar zijn.
