Razer needs to rethink the keyboard and touchpad, both of which are more finicky than those found on many competitors. Battery life is disappointing, as well. The real question is this: How much are you willing to pay for an awesome display and slick design? The Razer Blade I tested retails near $3,300, which is up to $1,000 more than an Alienware M16 with an RTX 4070 or the Asus ROG Strix 18 with a similar configuration. Whether the Blade 16 is worth its premium depends on your needs. Gamers who just want to play at high frame rates can find faster hardware for the price.

On the one hand, it is, beyond a shadow of a doubt, one hell of an engineering marvel, and it still impresses me till this day how the brand has managed to maintain the status quo for its design. And despite the occasional heat-induced stuttering that plagues it, it’s still a solid performer that never fails to deliver. That isn’t to say that the Blade 16 is flawless or even blemish-free. For instance, the Dual Mode display, while an interesting feature, is really nothing more than a gimmick. Don’t get me wrong, I think the ability to change the resolution on its 16:10 aspect ratio display between Full HD+ and 4K+ while still retaining a high refresh rate is nice, but at the end of the day, 120Hz at the latter resolution is more than plenty. That being said, I’d stick to a static QHD+ (2560 x 1600) 240Hz display, an option that Razer also offers and at a slightly cheaper asking price, but that’s just my personal preference.

High-end grafische kaart voor laptops gebaseerd op de Ada Lovelace-architectuur. Biedt 8 GB GDDR6 (128 bit) en is configureerbaar met een TGP van 35 - 115 W (+ Dynamic Boost).
Deze grafische kaarten zouden de meeste moderne spellen op een hoge resolutie en hoge details moeten kunnen draaien (enkele uitzonderingen zijn mogelijk).
