It delivers high-end performance thanks to its combo of the AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor and full-powered RTX 4060 GPU (140W TGP), all while maintaining a comparatively slim and travel-friendly form factor. The high-resolution 16-inch 165Hz display is vibrant and sharp, while features like good port selection, decent battery life, and upgradeable internals add to its appeal. It’s ideal for gamers, students, and creators looking for a powerful yet versatile machine. However, those on a tighter budget might want to consider the Lenovo LOQ 15AHP9, which offers similar specs but with a 1080p screen and a lower-TGP GPU, making it more affordable, albeit slightly less capable.

At the end of the day, Lenovo Legion Slim 5 (16, Gen 9) is a powerhouse that is also thin (for a gaming gadget). The chassis is solid and the keyboard is comfortable for gaming or typing. Of course, a not-so-thick profile combined with high-end hardware leads to high noise levels during gaming in “Performance” mode. The fans don’t spin that aggressively when the “Balance” preset is applied but the GPU TGP is reduced from 132W to just 75W. Interestingly, the overall power is good but in some gaming titles, the RTX 4070 isn’t showing its full potential (like Far Cry 6 or Gears 5). Perhaps Lenovo could fix this issue with future updates(but maybe the CPU is the bottleneck since some scores on Low or Medium details are too low).

High-end grafische kaart voor laptops gebaseerd op de Ada Lovelace-architectuur. Biedt 8 GB GDDR6 (128 bit) en is configureerbaar met een TGP van 35 - 115 W (+ Dynamic Boost).

Deze grafische kaarten zouden de meeste moderne spellen op een hoge resolutie en hoge details moeten kunnen draaien (enkele uitzonderingen zijn mogelijk).

R7 8845HS: Een krachtige Hawk Point-familiechip die in H2 2023 het levenslicht zag. Wij denken dat de 8845HS een vermomde R7 7840HS is. De 8845HS heeft 8 cores (16 threads dankzij SMT-ondersteuning) die op maximaal 5,1 GHz draaien; naast de volledige kracht van de Zen 4-architectuur wordt de chip geleverd met de 2e generatie Ryzen AI-technologie die generatieve AI alomtegenwoordiger zal maken dan ooit tevoren. En last but not least: de Radeon 780M dient als geïntegreerde GPU.
