If you expected that MSI will offer notebook that looks and is very close to Apple MacBook Air model at much, much, lower price then we must tell you that you were wrong. This doesn’t mean that MSI X-Slim X320 is bad product that should be avoided. On contraire. Decent quality and expected performance levels will satisfy many, especially those users that prefer bigger displays. Attractive design comes, in that case, as free bonus.

The MSI X-Slim X320 is for all intents and purposes the MSI Wind in a stretched, thinner package. If you like the look of the Wind, and why shouldn't you, it won the Pocket-lint Best Laptop award in 2008, then this is certainly one way to go to achieve a bigger screen but stick with the MSI brand. But don't be fooled, the X320 might not look like a netbook, but it still is under that glossy shell.

NVIDIA GeForce 9400M (G) / ION (LE): Geïntegreerde (gedeeld geheugen) videokaart. Gebruikt in de huidige MacBook, MacBook Pro en MacBook Air laptops. Ookwel GeForce 9400M G Snelst beschikbare moederbord GPU (ruwweg 2000 punten in 3Dmark06 met DDR3 geheugen, 1500 met DDR2), PureVideo HD (VP3) video processor ondersteunt.

Alleen oudere games kunnen vloeiend draaien met deze grafische chips (als ze niet veeleisend zijn). Gedeeld geheugen grafische cores in deze categorie hebben het voordeel van minder warmte-ontwikkeling en langere batterijlooptijd. Voor kantoor, internet, beeldcorrectie- en videomonteringswerk zijn deze grafische chips nog steeds bruikbaar zonder enige beperkingen.

Z530: Stroombesparende versie van de Atom N270 met virtualisatie ondersteuning en meer energie besparingsfuncties. De prestaties zijn vergelijkbaar met de Atom N270 en daarmee enkel geschikt voor basis taken.
