But unless you're in the market for a machine with high desk appeal, there isn't much that sets the WS60 apart from the competition. Sure, the WS60 is thinner and lighter than some of its competitors, but that comes at a cost to battery life. And in making the WS60 thin, MSI eschewed some of the enterprise-centric features such as a biometric fingerprint reader and spill-resistant keyboard.

We would have preferred a better battery life to match the svelte chassis, but the portability will still be an incentive. This is a stylish and powerful professional laptop, and it's not hideously expensive considering the component parts, either. It's definitely worth considering as an alternative to the usual big-brand choices.

Slank en krachtig. De huidige trend van dunne behuizingen voor notebooks wordt voortgezet met de huidige workstation-serie van MSI. Degelijke prestaties samen met een mobiele en lichte behuizing resulteren in een aantrekkelijke combinatie die niet alleen voor professionele gebruikers interessant zou kunnen zijn. We gingen na of het totaalpakket ook werkt en voor wie.

MSI: Micro-Star International (MSI) werd in 1986 opgericht in Taiwan. MSI is vooral bekend als fabrikant van moederborden en grafische kaarten voor pc's, maar biedt ook computeraccessoires, complete systemen, moederborden, grafische kaarten, laptops, desktop-pc's, monitoren en andere componenten. De merknaam Microstar behoort in Duitsland echter toe aan het bedrijf Medion. MSI staat bekend om zijn gamingproducten en heeft een breed scala aan gaminglaptops en desktop-pc's ontwikkeld. Het bedrijf is ook actief in werkstations, servers en industriële automatisering. MSI heeft kantoren in Noord-Amerika, Europa, Azië en Australië.
Deze grafische kaarten zouden alle huidige spellen moeten kunnen draaien, maar de meeste spellen zullen alleen met gemiddelde of lage detail instellingen en lage resoluties goed werken. Oudere of minder veeleisende spellen kunnen nog wel met goede grafische instellingen gespeeld worden.
NVIDIA Quadro K2100M: Workstation grafische kaart gebaseerd op de GK106 Kepler architectuur met 576 shaders en een 128-Bit geheugenbus.
